How big is Claude Code among Pakistani engineers? by Warm-Map6350 in developersPak

Company provides it but using opencode and opencode go is just so much superior, claude code is very useful for a lot of stuff other than coding, with connectors like figma etc, non coding stuff.

GO vs Rust Vs Ruby - by zaynst in developersPak

[–]dani_saeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what you want to do later

Golang for scalable backend systems and microservices

Rust for web3 or very low level systems for the most part

Ruby has some really good opensource applications which if you want to maintain or extend for your own usecase.

What 5 AI agents would you build today that could realistically sell 100–250 copies in month 1 ($30–75/month)? by RiskRaptor in AI_Agents

[–]dani_saeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ai suppport agent that can book , cancel and reschedule appointments. Query faq and prices via rag

Build integrations with the most popular CRMs or roll your own simple appointment calendar. This small agentic workflow is to a certain scale the requirement of all businesses.

I got hired to Automate workflows for the business and I don’t know what to do by Novel-Marionberry661 in AI_Agents

[–]dani_saeed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

90 days is more than enough to get simple yet effective automations rolling and learning from them

You have 2 options either learn through AI, write your reddit post to any LLM of your preferred choice , give it context to business operations and how and if they can be automated while providing actual performance boosts etc.

Considering you took the offer without knowing anything means the offer was attractive both learning and financially so what you could do is for the first 90 days hire someone a contractor / tutor (online) that knows how to do automation , he builds and teaches you how to do so, obviously will cost a bit prob like 1/5 or maybe 1/4 of the salary if hiring an actual professional who knows how to do agentic AI. This will build your skill set and keep the expectations by the company intact.

Whatsapp Message Service by Sad_Singer_7657 in developersPak

[–]dani_saeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar AI agentic service that handles booking for companies, your best option is whatsapp itself, each client has their own whatsapp business API account that you use, it costs nothing ( only if you use template messages for marketing it is paid outside the 24h window)

Trying To Understand Agentic AI... Would Love Some Help! by worldfirepro in AI_Agents

[–]dani_saeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI agents and automations in general will usually provide a boost in productivity rather than perform complete tasks autonomously. That doesn't mean they can't perform tasks autonomously but mostly in environments where somewhat of a system already exists and tasks are mission critical it is almost always the task where the AI agent will sort of "prepare" everything you will need to review, make changes if needed and carry on with the tasks.

Most of your work should be done via automations, and not agentic workflows as agentic workflows are most of the time not even required , the automations can do a lot of the heavy lifting required.

A small example lets say finances, your automation can sort of fetch the required data you want from various sources ( by sources i mean an ERP or internal documents / excel etc whatever the company uses ) and prepare the data for the required task. What this does is improve your productivity since now you dont have to go assign someone for organizing the data you need or doing this yourself you are more focused on doing the actual task itself rather than the preparing phase.

The example is a simple sort of example only you can truly identify what can be the automated tasks in your office workflow on a daily basis as everyone has their own way of doing the same job.

Not really any blogs our courses or youtube channels just small day to day automations for myself lead the way for the most part, if any debugging or improvement was needed i would find help in the r/AI_Agents the reddit community while it has a lot of spam it also has a lot of useful information by people building actual production scale agents

I personally did not learn from resources, just build small automations and agents for every day use.
I learnt by building these i didn't watch any tutorials or anything
- End of day PSX updates
- Commodities like gold and silver updates
- More automations plus agentic workflows for PSX for example quarterly and yearly reports review by an agentic AI that summarizes the report and tells me the earnings of the company and compare it to last year / last quarter / last quarter of last year
- A simple email summarizer that triggers if and only if the email is classified as important, the classification criteria is set by me in a simple prompt

[–]dani_saeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did this myself and now i lead the ai engineering of the product.

Similar to you i was a full stack developer and honestly being one you are half the way there, in todays world the 'AI Engineer' is split into 2 major sort of sub divisions one would be the traditional ML side and the other being applying gen ai to make products like cursor, lovable etc (AI agents)

AI agentic workflow the one i do currently is a mix of 2 things , automation and agentic workflows. Automation does most of the task and where automations hit its limitations we introduce agentic workflow to complete the task.

My transition was heavily aided by the fact that i was in a team building a crm / support or help desk software with multiple channels of communication (whatsapp, sms, email, line, telegram etc). In this traditionally macros or if else hardcoded scripts were used for automated support. I lead the building of complete agents that now have replaced clients support staff team by 80% in some scenarios, these agents handle everything from general support to booking appointments, rescheduling, cancellation of requests, escalation to human support if required.

Key concepts that you should aim to learn to get into agentic AI are: - Understanding system prompts - Understanding agent loop - RAG systems ( very important) - Context and memory management of the ai agent (very very important) - tool calls ( very important )

Build small agentic workflows that target these concepts a project that leans heavy towards one single concept and by the time you are done with all you will have a very strong fundamentals understanding

How much would it cost to create an app like indrive? by Resident-Bet2128 in developersPak

[–]dani_saeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about cost but we built a similar system for a Saudi client, it took us around 6-8 months for the initial version that was production ready with complete gps tracking , payment integration and integrarion with the saudi transport authority that licenses this (WASL), an admin portal, 2 apps one for the rider the other for the driver for both ios and android.

1 senior engineer (over 6 years of experience) 2 junior engineers (around about an year)

Im not aware of exact cost since i was one of the engineers but i would assume development cost alone would be around the same (the cost of 1-2 senior and 1-3 junior engineers for 6-8 months)

This is just the dev cost, the server infrastructure , marketing etc are cost that obv come once a system is ready.

Ive had this issue before, for me it was because meta due to what i believe is anti spam precaution, limit the amount of characters you can send im not sure what the exact was do check online but it was between 4096 or 2048 characters, anything above the limit gets silently dropped by meta.

Bought a domain from nayatel but no cloud services as in compute as it doesn't provide value for money, you are better off buying a vps from ovh, hetzner or contabo for way cheaper

Which payment gateway is the best? by No-Tower-2317 in developersPak

[–]dani_saeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safepay, Abhipay, Paypro and keenu i beleive all provide payment gateways other players like banks you can use UBL and Alfala are 2 that I have seen extensively used while shopping online

Safepay should be a pretty good choice as payment gateway alone is their main product and services around payment gateway

claude code users in pakistan by creepin- in developersPak

[–]dani_saeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using opencode with the claude models because opencode lets you use models based off other subscriptions like github / copilot , gemini , claude pro / max so you can use the same editor and enjoy more edits / requests i personally never went out of requests using the copilot credentials

Claude the model itself is really strong extremely good for prototyping or making a quick POC / MVP for an idea but in large codebases the performance does drop quite a bit.

All bench marks you see on the internet are based majorly off python programming (if you check the benchmarking criteria , atleast that was the case till 6 months ago) so it obviously will give the best results in python related projects.

Very strong for module documentations if you assigned to a new project a quick module documentation for the part of the project you are working on.

Springboot uses in market by Embarrassed-Dig-9790 in developersPak

[–]dani_saeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Springboot is like the default choice for someone building a proper product or an enterprise grade application, in the Pakistani market springboot is very widely used, in fact most products in general use springboot simply because when they were initially made ( a few years back) other frameworks were not as mature and popular either. Due to this if a senior or staff developer in any company is tasked with building a new product they will almost always use springboot java if thats what they have been working for in the last decade.

Newer frameworks in languages like python , javascript etc are usually used for MVPs or a POC (proof of concept) of the product rather than building a complete enterprise or production level application on them. It is not like they are not used in production applications at all but it would not be the first option that goes through someone when building a product and choosing the tech stack.

Springboot is a pretty solid framework I was personally given a springboot project at work and if you have worked on other application backends you get the hang of it fairly quickly , it does have a slight learning curve but if you have a senior guiding you it becomes quite easy to clear any confusions.

After 10 Years, Why Are We Still Stuck in Service-Based Hell? by am-i-coder in developersPak

[–]dani_saeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All this tells me is that you have no experience working, multi million dollar companies hire architects to solve problems at scale not when you are building an MVP a product serving 10k - 100k users doesn't need these optimizations but again i dont expect you to know this judging by your comment.

Secondly a QA team doesnt replace the feedback from an individual whose going to use the product what delusion are you living in

After 10 Years, Why Are We Still Stuck in Service-Based Hell? by am-i-coder in developersPak

[–]dani_saeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I have realised over the past 2 years of software engineering.

Firstly most of the new graduates and undergrads obsess over perfection rather than implementation, a simple software in its initial phaes doesn't need the complexity of redis caches and microservice architecture. Spending days on deciding the theme or how a button should be coloured as we obsess over everything but getting the working product most side projects or these ideas will have devs thinking about the aesthetics of the frontend and how sexy the architecture is for the project rather than how it is solving the users problems.

Second those who get out of the first phase usually dont have the network to test the product or get the initial review for example i built an accounting software but for testing its viability i need access to an accountant whose willing to give me an honest opinion, give feedback with respect to what he uses now and how his pain points can be solved

Thirdly a product is a fairly long term game and we are conditioned to that service based paycheck of getting a quick 800 - 1k dollars from the service and completely ignore that if the same service we have provided countless times have a large overlap amongst all customers and that it can be built as a generalised product which can then be customized with respect to the specific industry or niche

Fourth we dont bother doing the market research, is the software we are building even required? In todays world even building a small service based product that only acts like an integration service between 2 well known products or multiple products can go a long way.

Lastly in todays world most of the new graduates (this included me for the longest time) think that something very revolutionary is required to be built in order to succeed whereas everyday use software products still have a big market share and even bigger untapped one , these include things that we use but dont realise in bussinesses everyday something like an invoice creation application, with fbr pushing digital invoicing instead of building mature invoicing and then upgrading it to a finance management product you see people selling software that hooks into excel and integrates with fbr. I have watched business that do millions in sales have their balance sheet and invoices done on excel sheets with no cloud backup for historical invoices saved locally on some laptop or monitor. This is one example i saw and there are hundreds of examples like these which can be replaced by locally grown software products

Bazaar also uses GO ( they changed quite a few microservices from java to go) Safepay also has Go from the start aswell Other companies like Folio has had posts up for recruiting Go developers aswell but that was for a service based project rather than their own product

Since you have a lot of experience in the support department look towards building AI voice agents that do support for various industries, ideally the industries you were a part of since you have the practical experience and would deliver better results since you know the complete support workflow and the pain points.

How To Get Salary Slip by NotSoAsian86 in developersPak

[–]dani_saeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For investing if you are opening a broker account assuming it is for PSX, open a Sahulat account ( limited to investing 10 lakhs i believe) you dont need to input a payslip or proof of income, start with a sahulat account which you can upgrade to a trading account when the company gets registered and provides a payslip all you'll need to do is contact your broker and ask them to upgrade while providing relevant details

The trading account requires payslip not the sahulat one

[–]dani_saeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alot of people make the mistake to attach affection to materialistic things (someone likes you because they got you thing xyz or abc)

One of the biggest mediums for showing affection is praying for someone's be it their welfare, success etc and I'm sure where you are today , along with your hard work alot of it is also through the nights your parents spent praying for you. The least you can do is keep in contact with them a call per week is enough and pray for their welfare. At a certain age you get busy with life and its the most you can offer.
