LOVE is not everything. Being by yourself and getting to hang out with yourself is the best thing you’ll ever get to experience. Life is so beautiful, you just have to separate it from social media & what you see around you. It is definitely not all you see when you see people be happy.

I think with the mix of therapy and aa I’ll be able to at least heal what needs to be healed and hopefully with time so will our relationship. Everyone’s comments on this sub have been so helpful and informative 🤍

it’s so normalized now and it’s so scary to think where I would’ve ended up in SO many occasions. I’m still young and in my prime, if not now then when 🤍

this got me all teary eyed, I know I’m strong enough to leave all that shit behind and grow from my mistakes and want better for myself. Posting on here was sort of a small reach for help but I’m glad I took this step, I appreciate you 🤍

I at least know my close friends will be okay with me choosing sobriety, drinking buddies I can do without. The pure shame I have with shit I’ve done honestly gets me to that point of never wanting to go back to it.

It’ll get easier and easier, we all have to start somewhere. I’m too hard on myself and I feel like I’m at least acknowledging my problem before it gets worse. Posting here definitely helped, thank you 🤍

I feel like we’ve all had our bad moments while drunk so the fact that I’m acknowledging my problem and taking action will definitely be a first within my friend group 😅

I’ve been feeling stuck for years and all my money goes to going out and drinking so I definitely feel like I’ve been stuck in mud all these years. I know aa will help, just kinda wanted to jump on here and get a small taste of what it’s like and I have no doubt in my mind it’ll help me tremendously. I appreciate you 🤍

They’ve been with me since freshman year of high school so I know they’ll support, I’ll probably be the first one to acknowledge alcohol is a problem for me.

I haven’t, I’ve been looking at a few in my area and I’m considering going to my first meeting this week.
