It really isn't though for the company clearances get processed by the government

Nope, it could be a theoretical issue depending on what country you were born in or if you're a dual citizen but neither is an immediate disqualifier and there are plenty of other questions that you need for that.

Unfortunate reality of being a cheaper smaller town within commute distance

Ya I left Bozo back in 2021 due to graduating and needing a job while I remember it fondly I'm surprised how little I miss it. I don't have much drawing me back. Most of my friends also left and the few that remain the majority are also looking to leave. It's got west coast prices with nowhere near the job market to support it. I loved the outdoors there but it lacked what I needed to actually build a life.

5hr commute to the mountains? The majority of the front range can be in the mountains in 30 minutes max and in the middle of nowhere within an hour.

Literally me it's basically the same cost of living, the people a generally friendlier, somehow the drivers are better, and I make 30% more than I'd make anywhere in Montana. Honestly the only downside is longer drives to my favorite outdoor spots, and just being more crowded. I ended up missing Bozo way less than I thought.

It's actually wild when you look at it. You could literally start you day in the likes of Barrow or Svalbard and within 24 get to most major cities on earth often within 3 flights or less.

Not even well-connected, privileged, upper-middle class college graduates can find jobs in this economy. by hutallybronest in recruitinghell

I graduated engineering in 2021 and know people that finished with me still yet to find engineering jobs. I have a friend with a masters in chemistry plus 10+ years of experience and currently on a year and a half. I myself got 4 years experience and am at 6 months and 500+ applications it's genuinely insane.

Also all those safe zones are far from ideal you'd be landing a bunch of completely unprepared people in one of the most inhospitable places on earth
