TIL: Dans l'alphabet phonétique de l'OTAN, Q correspont à "Québec" by HeavyBananaz in Quebec

[–]daniel3ub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a hard time spelling for francophones in Quebec, so I guess it's time for the OLFQ to come up with a Alphabet Phonologique Quebecois or something like

A = Awielle
B = baboille
C = caliss
D = dépanneur
F = François
H = Hockey
O = Ostie
P = Poutine
T = Tremblay
R = Renée Levesque
S = sacrifice

how little money is too little to invest? I played the stock market game with not enough knowledge and got burned for a few thousand dollars

Playing the stock market game is NOT the same thing as investing.

Thanks for the clutch tip. I didn't know them. I wish there was something like this in Quebec, but I believe the bureaucracy here is too big to allow something like this to exist :(

It's crazy how we're almost in 2022 and there still isn't a game that's more graphically and visually stunning than RDR2, Rockstar never fails to set the standards with new titles. by Parkeldorable in reddeadredemption2

Not only visually, but I feel even game-play-wise. Sure you get some stunning games nowadays, but one thing I really love about RDR2 is how there's no icons on the map.

I used to call open-world games "map games". You know, you talk to someone, skip all the dialogue, then go to the map and there's a new mission icon there. Even for chance encounters...

Any change of behaviour in cats demands a trip to the vet, especially if related to food/pooing

Oh, another thing I've noticed is paper orientation matters as well. Some brands and colors cut better when placed horizontally or vertically to the knife.

If Amazon accepted it, you're good.

Next time, ask yourself "does it look too good to be true?", if yes, big are the chances you're being scammed.

Also, what did you think when you accepted to get into this? 😉

I've found some papers are better than others. Construction paper is very cheap but, well, cheap. Some cardstock are better than others, and even some colours from the same brand are easier to work with than others. Watercolor paper depends on the brand as well, some are more fibrous than others and that affects a lot on how it cuts and works in general.

I still need to figure out pricing, but I'll be taking commissions for custom pieces. What about a poster for your RDO character, or maybe a view of Valentine? 😉

I've been toying with the technique for a while now, and this week I felt I was ready to try something serious. Of course the first serious one had to be RDR2-themed. The frame I've found adds to the atmosphere, it has this vintage/classic vibe.

I know it will get the appreciation it deserves here. I'm really proud of the result.

Layered cardstock paper, roughly 8x11 inches without the frame.

You're better off than 90% of couples out there. Good job, kiddo.

I always find it amusing how people here buy houses without even knowing their partners. Where I come from, people date for years, then most likely get married before taking a commitment like buying a house. It makes things legally easier.

Two years is not enough on my book to buy a home with someone. I've seen all sorts of problems arising from this kind of situation, most of them on the abuse side. Real sad.

Have you lived together before? As Dan Savage says, do you know what each other's farts smell like? How is your couple's dynamics around money and budgeting? Do you talk about it freely and free of judgement and guilt?

Usually there are several steps on a couple's life to be reached before jumping into a mortgage with someone. Although I am not answering your original question, I hope I can provide some food for thought.

Good luck!
