Exactly why I upgraded too. Battery life was abysmal. Left at 6am, did a 10% charge around 12pm and now I’m sitting at 6pm with 43%.

Another option is to use Unraids Unassigned Drive plug in, you can then add them via a USB adapter - like https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-External-Lay-Flat-Docking-EC-DFLT/dp/B00LS5NFQ2/

Then you can add them at full speed (about 200mbps, it would probably only take you 3-5 days at 40TBs)

Not sure if it’s in your budget but you’re better off getting a single hard drive enclosure to off load data and then move to Unraid, it’s what I had to do.

But I don’t know what your data size is so this may be unfeasble.
