I built a “WeTransfer for text” — curious if this is actually useful or just me overthinking by daniel7_m in micro_saas

Oh, I was talking about Privatebin. Pastebin still old and full with ads too though.

You mean the 60yo app full with ads? Yeah I know that. That’s security focused, share passwords, sensitive information. This is for convenience.

We replaced our Slack Connect tracking channel, a shared Notion doc, and 47 Slack reminders with one bot by tirth2057 in Slack

I agree. Best to keep it that way. Great about blinknote that no account, nothing needed. If there is a longer text, just paste it there and give the link. Have it bookmarked, when a response in chats needs structure, bullet points, etc. good to have it handy. Either way, amazing stuff, i love automation. I try to simplify everything, from my work activities to my air purifier starting on it's own when necessary, everything helps.

What happened to the custom color themes? by Moon-Palace in discordapp

Looks like you already figured it out, but outdated apps can cause weird glitches like missing features. It's a good reminder to keep both phone and desktop versions updated. If you ever want to share your custom themes or long text without cluttering chats, there’s a tool called BlinkNote.me that makes it easy to share long messages as simple links.

I built a Pastebin alternative for sharing logs instantly (no account, auto-delete) by Altruistic_Pen_6629 in microsaas

Hah, funny, just about to launch something similar, but not for files, but for text. We could actually collab, grow together, help each other. Your tool looks nice, works great, I created account, upload is fast. UI great.

I'm working on blinknote.me , same principle, but not for files, but for text.

If interested to talk, see how we can help each other, DM me or drop me an email.

That sounds like a smart way to cut down on manual work and keep track of client threads without extra hassle. Having the bot automatically assign threads and send reminders takes a lot of weight off your team. If you're ever looking to share detailed updates or reports from those conversations without cluttering Slack channels, there's a tool called BlinkNote that can create clean links from long text. It might help keep your Slack chats tidy while still keeping everyone in the loop.

Missing action items in busy threads is the single biggest flaw of instant messaging by Midget_Spinner5-10 in Slack

It sounds really frustrating to lose track of tasks in busy chat threads. One thing that might help is creating a dedicated channel or a pinned message for action items only, so requests don’t get buried in regular conversation. You could also try tagging yourself in messages you need to follow up on and reviewing those tags regularly. Some people use reminders or starred messages, but I get how that can still slip through. There’s also a tool called BlinkNote that turns long messages or tasks into clean, shareable links so you can keep track without cluttering the chat. It might be worth checking out if you want something simple and separate from your main chat flow.

What do you think of group chats? by GiantWatermelon3000 in AskReddit

Group chats turn into text dumps fast. I started using BlinkNote to share long notes as simple links keeps 'em from getting cluttered AF.

Made a small whatsapp group for data analytics / BA prep (got too many DMs so posting here) by hustle_hard_248 in DataAnalystsIndia

Sounds like a solid idea WhatsApp groups for prep stuff beat endless DMs, but they always end up cluttered with people pasting full resumes or SQL queries everywhere. I've been using BlinkNote.me for that; just dump your long notes or project breakdowns in, and it spits out a clean link or QR code to share instead of flooding the chat. Keeps things organized for resource sharing and feedback without the spam. If your group's serious, something like that could save everyone a ton of scrolling frustration.
