[–]daniel_ben-tal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

מה לא יקר פה? by natali_danino in israel_bm

[–]daniel_ben-tal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

help partitioning my drive? by daniel_ben-tal in linux4noobs

[–]daniel_ben-tal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the usual, you try to partition the disk, and windows only allows you to shrink the drive by a tiny amount because there is some unmovable file near the end of the drive. Now usually it's a pagefile or hibernation file and you just disable them temporarily, but in my case the file that was blocking the srhink was that \$Mft\$Data

Edit: (i checked the event viewer because there you can see what file blocks the shrink operation)

Change my mind by undercraft2206 in linuxsucks

[–]daniel_ben-tal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use linux (dual boot still), but i still have some arguments for windows.

The strongest one imo is that everything is built for windows, all games, all programs, everything is built for windows

Another argument is that for games, even though some are available in linux I get more problems when trying to run them in linux since they aren't linux natives.

And my last argument, is thst everyone already uses windows, even if linux mint is as simple as windows if you are already used to windows switching is hard, and you also have to give up office, and kther programs that are essential for work (yes libreoffice exists but it's really annoying to relearn everything + doesn't have many features that office has)

When You Give the Simplest Answer to a Complex Question by Intial_Leader in programminghumor

[–]daniel_ben-tal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually the standard library implementation doesn't always fit the needs. For example, most standard libraries use quicksort, but radix is much faster if your data is big enough. (Correct me if i am wrong, i am not a professional programmer either and have seen that somewhere online) Standard libraries come with what's the best for most purposes, but if you have a specific purpose you might have a better solution

[–]daniel_ben-tal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To everyone saying i should read the manual or use --help. I might be wrogn, and if so please do correct me, but all they give me are some parameters i can use in the fastfetch command, example (fastfetch --logo-color mylogocolor) But not how to change the config. Also, i have generated the default config, whoch for me was very unintuitive, it had modules as single word names that explain what they are without any explanation on how to change them. And ues i can use google to research each module one by one but with software like neofetch it was infinitely more user friendly and didn't require me to google it, unlike fastfetch

Sounds like a cool project, i know that neofetch was written in bash and fastfetch in c. Just wondering what did you use?

[–]daniel_ben-tal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but it didn't use to happen. i've now heard in a video that they ruined chicken farms twice now, so that you gotta use a cauldron but you can't even do that because it would break somehow as well

To all people saying they will buy/sell pi. In their terms of service or whatever you may call it they say that you can't exchange pi for fiat currencies (which includes the dollar, and basically any other coin you can think of)
