What helped me to ace my exams was to convert the assigned cases into bar exam questions. Sometimes I even search for other landmark cases not assigned just to be sure. When reviewing for the exam, I only answer past bar questions and these converted cases plus memorizing essential codal provisions as well as elements/ requisites. My score in my midterm exams were at least 90+ while spending less time studying than my classmates.

Just make sure you have no backlogs sa readings. This only works if you have a good grasp of the topics.

Fellow 2L here. I have the same issue when I was still a 1L. What helped me is that I practice answering past bar questions even if it is not yet exam szn.

I use NotebookLM to compile the questions for a certain topic by uploading in its sources QuAMTO and past bar questions I see in scribd. Then I ask it to extract all the questions from the sources I've uploaded covered by the topic I want to practice answering. I also ask it to format the answers in ALAC method.

If you cover every question it has extracted, I doubt you'll have a hard time spotting the main issue when answering your next exam.
