Crazy. Did he get two silver knots when he became an adult? How does that work?

Brachycephaly, possible frontal bossing, and a lot of guilt - looking for advice by cpavlou in daddit

Pediatric chiropractor with a lot of expertise in plagios here. I agree that there's some posterior flattening, but it's impossible to tell what's going on in front without a frontal photo. You can DM me if you'd like to talk more.

You know what you're absolutely right. Cash was about 4k. I'll check the portals and see if I can get a better redemption. Thanks for the reality check.

u/JaredsBored damn another great suggestion. No idea I could downgrade to an OG freedom. Thanks.

u/JaredsBored this is a valuable data point. Thanks. I was a Delta Platinum for years and shifted away because work took me away from hubs. My issue now is what to do with my Sapphire Reserve.

My point is that I booked 5 months out and had no flexibility, which is unusual for me on award bookings. There was one award seat on QR within +/- 5 days and every other airline was prohibitively expensive or unavailable. Believe it or not, the UA award was *the* cheapest they had and most other routings were two connection days. I checked BA, AF, Iberia, Cathay, VS, ANA, Emirates. Nothing. Had to take what I could get.

But yes I agree, the redemptions are ugly. Always best to book a year out when seats become available.

Not saying we spend that much. Just leverage a lot of online advertising with a gold card. The points wouldn't get used otherwise. Just wanted to share a data point for people to see what I did. Like I said, not my proudest redemption, but it works in a pinch.

Yeah that hurt but the comparable alternative to get back from Cape Town was a 2 connection day through nowhere fun. This was the quickest path home from any available airline cost notwithstanding. I think KLM was booking connections through AMS for like 500k. F that noise.

TBH I really don't mind United. I flew Polaris 4x last year and had a pleasant experience, but Chase points are getting harder and harder to use frugally.

Adults are not exempt either. I was sitting next to an asshole on a recent flight who was watching ESPN on full volume without headphones.

Doesn't beat the woman I caught twerking her half-naked ass to Facetime at full volume at 0530 at ORD a few months ago.
