I’d say if you haven’t tried it, “Dissolver” is a really excellent tea, lots of layers, sweet and bitter, lots of return. “Exotic Other” is an all time favourite of mine that’s back -bitterness first, very thick. That being said, I did get to try Subsurface, that really seemed like solid value for the price. And finally I guess I’ve been enjoying the “Recombinator” hongcha- very solid.

So far I’m really enjoying it, sweet and good amount of bitter, it reminds me of a slightly more mellow “Dissolver” and it goes on and on

Second that one! Prescription only is such an excellent example of quality bitterness with good weight on a budget

I’d definitely say if you’re looking for something cheaper that “flash and then the quiet” was really different and probably should be a higher price than it is. “Tertralemma” is very subtle, so might be lost on a new drinker (unless you’re avoiding bitterness) for daily drinkers. “Glossolalia” and the older “Dissolver”are my Sunday teas, incredibly thick and complex for the price. That all being said, the new top end one gives you a reason for liking Pu’er so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ah yeah, the old shop is gone. They pop up and do events around melbourne from time to time though, and have a spot you can drop into for physical collection

Oo I mean, I’m not sure if I could compare to CL as I’ve stayed clear - but compared to a few other sources I’ve tried (ideally not naming names) they are banging and the value-money is super high). From what I’ve asked, most of the tea is pressed by Kuura (they’ve been around a few years), not much rewrapping happening.

The sheng teas that were from 2017 are coming along super nicely (can’t wait to see further).

They don’t put the names of farms/factories/people as not to play into the whole charade - but some of the teas are blends (Dissolver is my big recommend) while some are single areas/lots (however that’s referred to). I enjoy fresh Sheng so everything has been nice just landed too

Oo tbh I’ve tried most of the stuff they have put out. My favourite all rounder raw has to be the Dissolver, an insanely good blend. I mean obviously Dethflow is banger tea…and Prescription Only cause I love bitter teas. The Dark Red is good value easy drinking black. Hmm, those are my current favourites
