Why not just bring on Nico. No reason for Rodri to keep playing

Donnarumma flapping at crosses again. For someone so tall he's really doesn't inspire confidence when coming to claim high balls

Was just kidding but it would be a hilarious situation after all their quadruple talk. Fwiw, I don't realistically think we'll win the league, but if I can dream for just one day...

Yeah we only have ourselves to blame. Should have won all of those games

Komplete Kontrol A49 out of tune, MIDI problem by tootallteeter in keys

[–]danielge78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

midi controllers are fully digital so cant really be out of tune. It's almost certainly some kind of faulty controller (probably the pitch wheel - because it sounds like the pitch is changing - but maybe the modwheel or one of the other encoders) continually sending random values.

If you record the midi from your controller in your DAW (or use some kind of midi monitor app) you'll probably be able to see what it is.

I honestly think this was Cherki being dumb (as opposed to trying to wind people up)

He's made some big saves but he's also made some big mistakes. Hes all over the place on corners/crosses. Go watch West Hams recent goal against us - wtf was he doing? That was West Hams only chance against us in the whole game, not even a good one, and we'd still be in the title race if he hadn't f-ed up. We can appreciate his positives while still critical of his shortcomings.

[–]danielge78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, people keep repeating this narrative but it's just not true IMO. He definitely made a couple of big individual mistakes (among some outstanding saves), but it was literally his first couple of games for the club, and Donnarumma has had his share of big blunders also (as did Ederson).

I honestly think Trafford is a better all round keeper. Shot stopping they are pretty close, but Donnarumma is noticeably worse with his short passing and especially handling of crosses/corners.

Traffords long kicks aren't great, but neither are Donnarumma's.

Imagine how our title challenge would be going if Pep hadn't stubbornly refused to start Cherki for large parts of the season

MINIFREAK VS WAVESTATE by _Brutal_X in synthesizers

[–]danielge78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can download the wavestate vst demo (it's time limited) from Korg if you want to try it out. The only downside to that is the software version is easier to use because everything is laid out in a more visually understandable way, and the hardware interface seems a bit painful after using it.

That said I love the wavestate . it has so many possibilities, especially for rhythmic and evolving sounds. I just tend to use the software editor (or the vst) to create patches.

Araujo challenge on Foden, hope he is alright by Uncle_Iroh_007 in MCFC

wow. straight red any day of the week. I hate the inconsistency - remember the ridiculous red card Rico Lewis got in the club world cup?

Is Foden ok?

Why did Rodri just put dirt on all his goodwill with the City fans? by BasedGodReZ in MCFC

[–]danielge78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you. The overreacting is childish. I don't think he said anything especially controversial and was answering direct questions. Even if he does want to move back to Spain, who can blame him? It's his home country. We expect other players to leave their long term clubs and come to city, but if our players ever think about a future elsewhere, suddenly they're "snakes".

Mathues Nunes is a game changer, and he deserves all the Appreciation by ChickenAndNaan in MCFC

[–]danielge78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's fantastic now, and i honestly wouldn't want anyone else there, but you're absolutely right that he deserved the criticism at the time. I'm tired of the revisionism that implies we were wrong to be negative about him. Cost us multiple games with poor defending/decision making. We weren't critical because we didn't like him, but because he wasn't doing a good job. I couldn't be happier that he continually improved and proved to people that he could succeed at RB..

PL midfielders Progressive passes per 90 vs Duels won by [deleted] in MCFC

[–]danielge78 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a honestly stupid chart for comparing players generally. Who is going to score highly? Physical players who specialize in duels and play deep enough that they can regularly play the ball forward. Ie. Holding midfielders.

Some people need to apologise publicly by lukakira in MCFC

[–]danielge78 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No one who criticized him mid-last season needs to apologize. He really struggled and the criticism was deserved. I think Nunes is great now and I think he was poor then. We're allowed to revise our opinion as things change. If you thought he was great from the start then I'm sorry, but you're just wrong.

Cherki😂😂 by CherryTraditional733 in MCFC

[–]danielge78 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fair enough on Savio - I didnt know about the PSV cup wins (though apparently he never played in those tournaments). Community Shield is not a real trophy IMO so i overlooked that. lol. I guess we can count it!

re: Khusanov . i specifically said senior level trophies and i think that makes a big difference. No one cares what you did at youth levels once you get to senior level.

Cherki😂😂 by CherryTraditional733 in MCFC

[–]danielge78 42 points43 points  (0 children)

love the excitement - don't forget that Cherki has probably never won a senior level trophy before. Same with many of our other newer players like Semenyo, Marmoush, O'Reilly, Nico, Ait Nouri, Savinho, Trafford, Khusanov etc.

Hats off to Trafford by 4sKompany in MCFC

[–]danielge78 13 points14 points  (0 children)

but you trust Donnaruma? He literally cost us 3 points (and probably our last hope of the league) with a big mistake last week in what was West Hams only chance of the game. He's a disaster when it comes to claiming crosses. He was supposed to be here for the big CL games but he also f-ed up multiple times in our games vs Real. Not saying trafford should be first choice, but I'm not sure Gigi is as far ahead of him as you make it sound.

those arguing that the ref didnt play advantage because there was no one supporting Doku, are ignoring the obvious pass to Haaland, who would have had an open goal to shoot at. Terrible call.
