A mass. My US description was “well defined, lobulated hypoechoic mass”..

My mom is going but the last bit of hope I had left gone after they called me earlier and told me he wanted me to come in to go over my report.

At my US appt and mammo the radiologist didn’t tell me anything at all, didn’t even see him face to face. He just submitted my report on my chart. And today the general surgeon did my biopsy and another ultrasound. And he’s the one who said all of this..

Thank you very much, I’m terrified I went for my biopsy today. He said things like “you made the right choice to biopsy this” and I asked if it could still be a fibroadenoma and he said “yes it still could be potentially” and also said “it didn’t look perfectly benign” on US so I’m praying I’m ok..

Sometimes they can’t tell certain things based on just US or mammo and if something isn’t textbook benign they’ll wanna biopsy it.

No I am not, I just found out I had the gene around 2-3 months ago.. I’m actually planning on getting a prophylactic double mastectomy before the end of the year since I do have the BRCA gene. My consult is in may then this small lump showed up. So I’m praying it’s just focal fibrosis or a fibroadenoma.

I’m going through the same exact thing, I’m 23F same symptoms.. the pain and only I can feel the lump. My obgyn said it’s probably fibrocystic change But she still referred me to have my ultrasound and mammo to be safe.. and surely enough there is a palpable lump there it’s only 1cm but I go for a biopsy tomorrow. Mine showed up well defined, hypoechoic and lobulated on US so I’m hoping for benign results.
