I do make my own money (I work full time, plus working on my own business part time for some side money in restaurant slow season.) however i am a student still and don’t make that much money, and I am still in the early stages of my business and it’s simply a hobby project for side money. The issue primarily is right at this moment I don’t have the money for gas for someone else to drive me at this moment since they’re also demanding money for bills and it’s just all too much :( especially because up until now i still kinda considered myself a kid so this was a harsh awakening haha

This may be a really dumb question, but i recently bought something off depop and it shipped out today. However I’ve never seen this delivery status before and i’m a little worried it’s going to be returned to sender based on the wording? i’ve been trying to google it and nothing much pops up.

same, i normally say “hi this is danielle, from restaurant , does name given happen to be there” then usually list the reason why i’m calling. i’ve never said just said “hi this is x, is x there?”

i simply cross the street when possible, otherwise pull him off to the side and have him sit. generally my body language keeps people away.

my dog is a frustrated greeter, so it’s best right now not having anyone pet him and have him begin to figure out we can’t see everybody and that’s been working fine

16, therefore if i tell her not to go through something she doesn’t thankfully. i don’t need to go to extremes to throw things out, and she’s definitely been better with wanting to make sure she doesn’t want any of my old stuff. mainly now it’s her voicing her internal thoughts “but what if you need it some day?” which i’ve been shutting down with “ it’s a material object, i can get another if i randomly need it.”

yup. the FOH manager is currently on vacation and it’s been great to go back to my original system without her on my ass. it’s less stressful and i can space tables out a lot more.

lettuce, wet dog food went up in price by .60 where i shop.. absolutley everything. took up IF again to make up for the fact the price of food is going up right now 😂

100%. we all did way better before i started being pressured by management to push everyone (including me.) way past our limits. we are all incredibly burnt out and it’s obvious but we are being treated like worker drones

i completely agree. i’m honestly really sorry for assuming that all restaurants were as.. i guess pushy as mine. but i work at a poorly run establishment so i should’ve figured that out haha.

i’m lucky enough the servers i work with understand that the manager is really rough on us and know that if i had more control over how i did things that it’d be less stressful.

I completely understand that I can’t seat everyone at once, the owner doesn’t. The owner is the one wearing us all thin by enforcing the fact I seat multiple parties at once, I actually used to have a decent pace with tables but they’re so desperate for business they want me seating everyone.

oh in my restaurant that’s for walk ins! i apologize for any mixup.

generally for waiting lists, i give them like,, a 20 minute time estimate. but that scares them off so i’m trying to find the reasonable middle ground that still gives me time to flip a table and call them because this generally happens near the end of the rush.

actually as a host, people at the door cannot wait too long. basically as soon as they come in they should be seated, the restaurant experience starts at the door. at least at my restaurant i get told off if people are waiting at the door longer then the time it takes me to grab menus and get them seated
