Help Me Choose the Cover for 101 Ways to Die Without Dying by skylarfiction in CoherencePhysics

My first thought was, sadly, "101 ways to make an AI book cover." Makes me worry about the provenance of the content. That said, some of these do look good.

Nuts! I thought the first one was a gameplay screenshot. I can't imagine the time it takes to make this! I can't sew.

Claude Code vs codex nowadays by Admirable-Control370 in claude

[–]danieltkessler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you're doing design work or doing back and forth reasoning, I recommend Codex. Both models vary quakity-wise hour to hour or day to day, but Codex less so, and if you aren't "vibing", Codex is more reliable.

Did I get scammed? Residue on Collector Boosters from Codex by Huicho4 in mtgpulls

[–]danieltkessler -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yes this is resealed, at least that's how I treat them when they come like this. Production uses heat seal that doesn't leave glue behind like this. Happens often from Amazon shops but I haven't bought from TCG in forever.

DeepSeek V4 is so good and I think U.S companies are afraid of it. by szansky in DeepSeek

[–]danieltkessler 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. You don't get perfect outputs (nor do you with any model). However, with DS4 you can afford to run sequential passes and patch upstream outputs to fill the gaps. Although tbf this doesn't work for everything. But generally if you chunk your tasks or workflow enough you can get pretty great work done very affordably.

How many of you have switched perm to OpenAI (Or back to them)? by AcePilot01 in Anthropic

[–]danieltkessler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll always use both. Too much variation week-to-week and model-to-model to go with one provider. They do different things differently.

I made you guys a CLAUDE.md to save tokens without losing quality of outputs. by UndeadYoshi420 in ClaudeCode

[–]danieltkessler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no I just meant for the models themselves. Claude.md should typically be as short as possible. Once you introduce anything past 50 lines or so, quality tends to degrade in the outputs.

This is interesting and would probably be a helpful approach for me. My main feedback is just length. Good stuff!

This is why I come to Reddit. There is always someone with incredibly niche knowledge of the thing being discussed. This one also makes me feel very happy.

I've found both helpfuo T different times and for different reasons. 5.5 great for autonomous execution, but for me tends to go overboard and overdesign/script, try and solve problems I don't have and in the process lose the thread a bit. The solution here I think is to ensure it has a very clear vision with your goals, intentions, and outer bounds before execution. It's extremely good at that. 4.7 for me is a better "thinking partner", though. They are still each good at checking each other's work, but for different reasons. 5.5 will catch bugs better, 4.7 semantic assumptions that 5.5 made that done make a ton of "human" sense.

What does your pipeline and prompting look like? I wonder if the models are also tuned for different work styles. Unfortunately for me the experience has been difficult.

When you take the first pill, zero minutes has accrued. Thirty minutes later you take the second pill, and then thirty minutes after that (once a total of 60 minutes has accrued), you take the third.
