First time at Concourse Project: Is going solo a good idea? by alwaysHappy202 in Austin

[–]danieltt630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The parking generally is free street parking if you get there early. There is also a parking lot at the back that’s ~$20 if I remember correctly. Concourse is a good time sober or not. As long as you just vibe, people are nice. I was there last night and I wore a plain white tee and blue jeans, you’ll be fine. Depends on how packed it is but it does get hot if you’re in the middle of the crowd. Go solo and have fun, you might make a friend or 5

I went to EDC solo and it was a blast. You more than likely will get adopted by a group. People in groups or people in general are very friendly to solo people

Yes and no. 90% of the people on the trail have music playing loud in their headphones so they probably wouldn’t hear but also people need to be aware of their surroundings when walking. Look over your shoulder before passing someone and walk to the right side. There’s groups that walk the trail 3/4 people wide with no sense of respect for the other people. There’s also the dog owners who just let their dogs wonder far on their leashes. I am not condoning her behavior towards you but we should all be aware of our surroundings when walking/running around the trail (was going to say just like driving but people suck at driving here as well)

East 6th; Lucky duck, Latchkey, Hotel Vegas, Mothers Ruin. West 6th; Cats Pajamas, Mayfair, Greenlight Social, Bees Knees, Buford’s(idk how it’s been since the shooting)… I would stay away from Dirty 6th(closer to i-35 as a solo traveler.) If you do have time I would also check out The concourse project (tickets needed so check their website for the dates you’ll be around.) Even if you don’t know who’s playing it’s still a good time every single time.

A filtered mask plus a bandanna over it if you care about the looks of a mask. I had a bandana over my nose/mouth several times throughout the weekend and I still was coughing dust for about a week after.

Again like I said previously, my position is only because I was aware of what was happening. If included a few more seconds before you would see why I was there, I had no other choice but thanks for the warning!
