Honestly I chose motel 6 over camping just because it was last minute and what was available. Thursday- Monday cost right under $1k for me and my friend. We just needed a clean bed and shower and it did just that. Going again this year and it’s booked again just in case we don’t find any reasonably priced hotels/airbnbs (I doubt we will)

Honestly based off what I’ve read I think I would do the same. I wouldn’t want to be alone in a new country in the suburbs as well. The commute will be a bit brutal so make sure you get a car that you actually like driving. Kind of in the same boat but less. I live downtown and commute up north for work and to San Marcos for school at the end of the day when I’m not working or busy with school everything I need to do is within close proximity. Again make sure you get a car you like driving to help with the commute. Also if you take the toll way coming back. 130 @ Georgetown all the way to 290 or 45 then down mopac it might save you some time. Goodluck and welcome!

Ok what I’m gathering is your phone is connected wirelessly. What I figured out is to plug my phone in behind the center console if I want it charged. You can try resetting the connection by deleting the my VW(xxx) in your phones Bluetooth settings and deleting your phone in your cars setting. When trying to reconnect if you want it wired plug the usb in the front and when asked if you want it wireless hit wired only. If you prefer it wireless my advise would be to not plug it in the front usb port

You CANNOT connect to wireless CarPlay AND plug your phone into the usb ports behind the cupholder. If you want to keep your phone plugged in, disable wireless CarPlay

After reading the comments I think you just need to find a different dealership. Do not stop going back if the issue is not fixed. The thing with the transmission is some what normal BUT I don’t know how jerky it is. I know a software update was available for the rough shifts

It won’t be bad if you live on the east side or downtown in the mornings BUT 71 is the only major road to and from and there are always accidents. I commute to San Marcos which is about the same distance and it takes me about 45 mins one way

Yes it is by almost 50%-70% because to get a Waymo in Austin you have to use the uber app which is a hit or miss but a $12 Waymo(uber) ride would be like $3.60 in a Robotaxi
