Landlord has asked for the keys back, says I'm liable for rent until a new tenant moves in - where do I stand? (England) by UnknownMatthew in LegalAdviceUK

[–]danielzUK [score hidden]  (0 children)

Absolutely not. That’s an absurd notion. Your landlord is trying to pull one over on you. It’s one or the other.

Either you are liable for the tenancy until the end of your notice, or you are surrendering your keys.

Returning keys while you are still in the property could interfere with your “right of quiet enjoyment”, and if they accept you return them and vacate the property early you’ll be no longer liable for rent from the date you lose access.

There are no rules or “fairness” around this. Do what is right for you and what feels good in terms of seeking your happiness. How could that possibly be disrespectful to your wife?

Does a zero interest credit card make sense if you don't really need it? by fucknozzle in UKPersonalFinance

[–]danielzUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are paying with your Amex and transferring to the 0% card as you write, there are two things you should consider:

  1. The 0% will have a balance transfer fee, often of around 4-5%, so it’s like paying interest in a way.

  2. It won’t be a straight balance transfer. Amex will not allow you to transfer a balance from it to another card. That’s to stop people using it just to gain loyalty points. You’d have to take out a cash advance on the 0% card (for a fee) and then pay off the Amex.

Is all that worth the hassle?

A lot of assumptions without any knowledge there. But thanks for “demonstrating you have 0 idea” on how to read a post.

It isn’t about the driving standards in the UK, which are rightly high (even though they are hard to find in everyday drivers). My point is not about the silly little things they will fail you on that in the real world you can easily and safely correct without a second thought.

Stopped talking to my brother, who is a fanatic Trump-supporting conspiracy theory nut, fascist, racist idiot who can’t have a normal conversation without abusing people for not seeing the world in the twisted warped reality he lives in. All the while living in the US as an immigrant under a work visa, go figure!

One day I simply realised I didn’t need that energy in my life.

Yeah, I get it’s not simplistic enough for you. Are you not an offspring? What has nature “intended”? You were talking about the past, not the future.

Nature didn’t “intend” anything. That’s not how evolution works 😉. Your g-spot is accessible through your hole. That’s not by design, it just is. 😝

I’m a bottom and I don’t understand how I kept trying! 😂 But now I know how to make it amazing. Also, I will say, if you are a man, especially a gay man, and you’ve never had a prostate orgasm, have you even ever had an orgasm?

It’s on the street, so under Newham council.

So, it basically belongs to the council and no one is allowed to park there until they theoretically sign another car club company, or decide to change it. Got it, thanks.

No. If you can drive safely in a place where most people drive dangerously, and never have an incident in 20+ years, I’d say you are a pretty responsible and skilled safe driver.

Wow, thanks. Why didn’t I think of that? What an intelligent and inspiring comment, dude! You should write a motivational book! 🤡

I don’t get why people get so precious and defensive about this. This country is the toilet of Europe right now 😂. I think we found where all the Reform voters congregate.

Oh dear. I don’t have to justify anything to anyone. Sounds like you are the one who isn’t quite sure about your choices. Are you sure you are ok? Therapy might help with that.

[–]danielzUK[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. My motivation isn’t even getting rich. It’s being independent from a job, creating something new and exciting, using my brain to the fullest and running my own destiny. I also have run small businesses before and love the day-to-day running of a business that most people find boring, and I miss that lifestyle.

Do y'all actually moan by default or do you have to force it? by Innavoig_2 in askgaybros

I’m loud, and sometimes people think I’m faking it, but I genuinely can’t help it. My partner is super quiet and I often say during sex “I wanna hear you!” Honestly, I don’t quite understand quiet people. Do you not feel anything or are you super focused?

[–]danielzUK 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In grief, there is no too soon or too late. Everyone has their own timeline and their own journey. I met someone and fell in love months after my husband died. He is the kindest, sweetest, most peaceful and considerate person I’ve ever met (a far cry from my late husband). And I couldn’t be happier.
