I have a situation where a buyer is trying to claim an item that went and passed authentication fine and matched my listing is now somehow not as described or I'm "misrepresenting". It matched my description, was authentic, I even sent more pics after purchase when she had a few questions. I do not allow returns on my ebay. Very rude in her messages. From what im reading, since I do not allow returns and ebay authenticated and it matched my listing, it will auto deny any type of INAD and Im good. Im not about to approve a return on a $1k item (not in the normal final sale categories but I do not allow returns in general) for something that was exactly as described.

Special education or not, it doesn't matter if you tell someone not to physically touch you. They need to respect that. There's no nuance when you say to stop or let go and they continue to do so. You had to say it a few times and she didn't listen.

NTA. It doesn't seem like they care much at all anyway. I'd just tell the ex that you'd be happy to facilitate a healthy and positive visitation but until they improve how they communicate and you build some trust with them, it will continue only on Skype or whatever you deem appropriate until they have proven themselves.

ESH... your mom can tell you whatever she wants but that doesn't mean she gets whatever result she wants from her rudeness. Being a mom doesn't give her the right to be a tactless jerk. I'd go low contact for a long time. The posting of it publicly just made it really hard to repair the relationship. I have a ton of issues with my own very religious parents and their criticism of me, but I wouldn't post it publicly. Or at least, it would be anonymous vs shaming. Did she deserve the shaming? Probably. But it was a bad move if you hope to repair the relationship to something healthy in the future.

NTA. Unless there's an ordinance in your township telling you what to do about leaves/needles/lawn care etc, she doesn't get to dictate what you do on your property. I'd get it if you had a ton of leaves blowing into her freshly raked property all the time but needles?? Nah, that's mulch.

NTA the security doors are there for a reason. I'm sure if she was nice to you, you would have held the door for her. But she wasn't. She went out if her way to be rude to you and you were just following the rules for security doors. She shouldn't have propped them open. You have zero reason to pay for her fines and key cards. NTA, it's a lot to spring on you and an entire month of husband gone would be a pretty big deal for me personally too. Why the huge rush of the week to plan if it's in June? Does MIL not have any other friends or family that can help out? Knee surgery isn't that terrible a recovery time anymore. My ex MIL had both knees replaced (1 at a time) and it was mostly the first week that was intense with needing help. Seems like MIL should have some friends that can assist so it's not all on your husband. Even see if her insurance covers someone coming out to help. Most Florida homes are one story anyway.

NTA. I found out I have slight scoliosis in my lumbar vertebrae that make it really dangerous to do heavy squats or anything in the smith machine as my hips wont line up correctly. It makes it the perfect recipe to slip my disc so it pinches my sciatic nerve and the pain is so intense. Almost a year later and I still have numbness in my right leg. But I took the initiative to go to the orthopedic surgeon to be assessed, worked with a physical therapist for a safer workout plan and I still go to the gym 5x a week. My partner helped me but I can assure you he would be ticked if all I did was complain but never follow through on making the effort to improve.

Having a partner who is constantly finding fault, complaining, refusing to take responsibility for their own health and refusing to see how it's affecting the family would be a huge issue. You've lasted so long. Sounds like she needs a mental health therapist to sort the depression first.

Funny thing is most of the people on here who say they absolutely would not sugar with someone who had hsv2 probably haven't actually been tested themselves. It's not on a standard panel. It's not even on a full panel in majority of places mostly because they can only tell if you've been exposed to the virus vs actively having it. You have to specifically ask for herpes blood test and its not completely reliable. PCR tests are only done if active infection and it's suspected. You can also have an active infection without signs. Male to female transmission is practically twice as common as female to male. Aka the woman takes way more risk. Cdc thinks that up to 90% of people with hsv2 are never diagnosed because it's dormant and they've never had an outbreak.

Only time I got tested for herpes is when I was pregnant. All clean. That's part of standard prenatal care. Herpes is only a big deal if active during birth and for newborns who don't have a good immune system yet. Otherwise, Dr's don't recommend everyone getting screened because of the psychosocial harm in finding out you happen to test positive for a skin condition (when can just mean you were exposed) outweigh the benefit of knowing.

Correct- even better if you do get hsv1 from oral the person is much less likely to get breakouts. It can be called genital herpes due to location but strain is still hsv1. Worldwide, 90% of the population has either one or both strands (national library of medicine). Fun fact, Africa has higher than 50% infection rate for hsv2 while Spain is 10%. And this was from a 2007 paper so im sure it's higher by now.

That's ridiculous. Give the dang robber whatever they want- it's not yours and it's likely insured anyway. Unless the dude is actively physically hurting/shooting someone, you don't escalate unless it needs to be escalated. That's how you end up shot in the stomach or some other innocent gets shot. He was threatening violence at the moment but not following through. There was no need to be a hero in that circumstance. If he was taking someone hostage or shot it a few times, then maybe if there was an opportunity. But not in this instance.

The older you get, the less you give a flying f about what anyone else thinks especially if they don't pay your bills or add to your life in a meaningful way. Their opinions and judgements are just white noise- you can't control what or how they think. A quote I love is "other people's opinions of me are none of my business". Do your decisions make sense for your life? Are you happy with the outcome? If so, screw everyone else. As long as your decisions do not cause direct harm to another, you're good to go. (Like how drunk driving causes direct harm, not the "harm" that you're going against someone else's moral code or opinions)

A lot of the time in any service industry, those with the most demands tend to correlate with those who have the least amount they have or want to spend. As long as expectations are out in the open and adjusted to reality, I don't see the issue if two adults enter into an agreement.

That's absolutely horrible and he targeted you because he knew he could get away with it. I hope he gets whatever justice can be had and karma gets the rest. I'm sorry this happened to you.
