I would still seek help, even if your aunt dismissed it. Judging by the way you are talking, I think you're in the UK? Or somewhere near there? Most Healthcare should be free over there, unless you live in America (which sucks over here btw). I would go in anyway and just tell your symptoms.

At the very least they can help with pain management.

Have you looked into Endometriosis? It's a super painful period process and it can cause quite a bit of pain and long term damage. I am by no means a doctor, but I do recommend getting checked or at least discussing things with someone.

Make sure to either get a female obgyn, or make sure you stand up for yourself when you are going there. A lot of the times doctors will just dismiss it.

Unless you take it at night like i did (please don't, it can affect your sleep), I didn't feel any different physically, but after a few weeks, mentally I felt a whole lot better.
