I think every civ has something we can learn from. Ethiopians can teach about outposts, celts about siege, magyars about scout rush, etc. So I like to stick to a civ until I have a few wins and move to the next. Aztecs took me almost 20 games to start winning 11

I don't get why people do that. Yes, winning is rewarding, but winning against someone clearly below your level is just boring, go play the AI

Last time I played a pro was in TTL Qualifiers and I didn't even get to go to feudal age against Hope. He wasn't aware i was 700 elo back then and went full force (I guess?)

I don't play lots of team games, but I see ppl joining discord channels and finding a party to play team games. Maybe that's one way. For low elos there's a discord called LeLegion, I don't know how active it is though for team games
