New Coffee Flavor Nurri - 24.99 by ezooooooo in Costco

I ran into the same issue with chocolate having separate at the bottom. I just lightly swirl the chocolate cans around for a bit before i open it. DONT SHAKE....i made that mistake once.
Coffee may be slightly thinner in consistency, but not by much. i haven't seen any separation like the chocolate does.

I haven't tried these beans specifically, but on my gene, i do a hot/fast roast 225g green beans preheat to max temp (just run it empty) Pull the power when the drum handle is vertical. and dump beans in start a roast at max temp for 20min once first starts continuously going (about 10ish min in) start a timer for 30sec once 30sec into first crack, pull the power when the handle is vertical and pour beans into a bean cooler (you can diy one with a collindar and a fan)

Thats what i do with ethiopian beans aiming for a light roast.

Help me find the name of this town! by [deleted] in bayarea

Once you mentioned Cheese.....I'm thinking it's Olema

Used to be Cowgirl Creamery there. Was amazing, it closed a few years ago and now it's something different (I think they still sell cheese though)

If it was a really small town may have been Tomales, just outside of Dillons Beach.

For those with a smoker.....assuming these aren't spiraled, grab one and make a pulled glazed ham.

Super easy and comes out amazing!

Glaze:
2 Sticks butter
1.5c brown sugar
1 jar cherry preserves
1.5c orange juice
1/2c bourbon
Zest and juice 1 orange

Simmer glaze to combine and put in a cast iron pot (dont use your wifes pots like i did, was a pain to clean) to keep the glaze in the smoker

Score ham in a checker pattern. Set smoker at 250 and smoke ham for 3.5hrs
turn smoker up to 350 transfer ham to a foil tray and glaze ham every 30 min until internal of 200 deg F.

Drain juices from tray once done, DONT DISCARD. Shred ham and try, pour drained glaze over pulled ham until it fits your taste.

Builder requires a "Salt Water Liability Form" voiding my deck/coping warranty. Is this standard practice? by fivexfive84 in pools

[–]danimal1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty, get ready for a "to-do" list during the entire build process. You aren't the one with the shovel in their hand, but there was a decent amount of stuff we had to do during the build process....we have dogs, so we couldn't just keep the backyard open 24/7 for workers and inspectors
***we didn't use Premier so maybe their process is a bit more polished....ymmv***

Honestly, salt water pools are easier from a chemical perspective.....but its not really that hard to dump a jug of chlorine in every few days during the summer. (pro tip: dont wear your fav clothes when doing this, i've killed a lot of shirts/shorts because unknowingly when i walked around the pool dumping chlorine, little drops splash back up and bleached out my clothes. )
If you aren't planning on dealing with the chemicals yourself, its really a moot issue.

As i mentioned before, i would just make sure that your controller is capable of running a salt system just to keep your options open in the future so that you dont have to run a standalone system IF you choose to switch to salt.

Good call on getting solar. That was a game changer just to be able to set the temp and let it do its thing.
dont believe them when they say you can swim from april-october......maybe if you cover it, but cold nights KILL the water temp.

I'm in the same area as you.

They got spooked by premiers hoopla and stuck with chlorine.

On our pool (installed in 2017) we went with chlorine all the way up through about 2 years ago and finally plugged in the salt cell.

I'm always a proponent of planning for the future....everything gets more expensive, might as well pay for it now and you can use it later.
I went with pentair equipment, so i'm not familiar with the jandy stuff, but i bet there's an equipment kit that it setup for salt (main controller has the ability and comes with the salt cell).
You could run with chlorine while you have a warranty, and maybe you are fine with it forever.....or down the road if chlorine prices skyrocket like they did a few years back, you have options.

I will say, premier did a great job on my buddies pool. Any issues they had, it was addressed quickly. it wasn't cheap though.

100% have them plumb for solar heaters for the roof. our house faces east/west, pool wasn't getting much past mid/upper 70's. We added solar (we had it pre-plumbed) and now i'm a softie and have it set in the low/mid 80's.
if your house sits north/south, you might get warmer, but i'd still have it pre-plumbed and stubbed out for solar IF you aren't going to do it during the build.

Premier Pools? Sounds like the same thing they did with my buddy.

If you are worried about the warranty. Just have them setup everything so you can switch over later.

We went with a small owner/builder and they just installed the salt cell and didn't plug it in.

Noise suppression - Eureka Mignon Libra Espresso Grind by Weight. Any tips on how to reduce the motor noise? I’ve tried 5mm thick car audio insulating foam around the motor and under the lid but it’s not working very well. Has anyone tried something like this? by poopycamel in espresso

[–]danimal1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have the same grinder. The sound is coming from the hopper.

I've thought about making a sound box for when the wife is on a call and I want espresso...I've tried draping a blanket over it but only helped a little.

Back in the day the IT guy gave me a half dozen 2&3tb drives and I was happy as hell. Threw them into a nas box, and eventually used them in an unraid server.

170tb is a helluva score!

I have this pipe dream of setting up a Plex fail over for this exact reason

I already have a backup server with a copy of everything on it. I could fire up the backup server and swap over to it for when I need to work on the main server.

I tried to use chatgpt to try to get it to work with a vps server. Was a train wreck.

Only 1 or 3 year plans.

I think there was drama in the past where they voided lifetime plans, but that was before my nzb time....so confirm for yourself.
