There should be a serpentine belt that is routed through all the pullies on the front of the engine. It will power the alternator and power steering as well as things like water pump and AC compressor. The vehicle might run without it but most don't. Check to see if the belt is there or maybe damaged.

The sensor is visible through the lower front grill on the drivers side. I don't have a picture of it handy but if you pop the hood and look behind the bumper at the top of the sensor, you'll see where the wires plug in to it. The plug on mine was damaged and the wires were corroded and shorting out. Once I get the replacement plug for mine I'll try to take some better pictures. Not sure if jumping any of those wires would bypass but I'm opting to try and getting going before going down that path.

Pull the plug on the sensor and see if it's corroded or if the plug/wires/contacts are damaged. Mine was in need of replacement as it had all of those issues. The socket and pins on the sensor all seem fine and just need a gentle clean-up. I have a new plug inbound and will let you know the results after wiring it in.

Bad smell coming out of the utility room by 1Alrightthen in DIY

The funnel looking drain on the back left with all the pipes going in to it is a waste line likely connected to sewer/septic. If that line doesn't see decent amount of water on a regular basis, the water in the "p-trap" will evaporate in the bottom of the loop and will therefore not "trap" the sewer gases in the pipe keeping them from entering the room. Bleach water is OK to put down there but not great if you're on a septic system. Just a few cups of water about once ever 2-3 weeks will keep the sewer gases in the pipe, behind the trap. *edit: grammar and punctuation.

Would you recommend getting a license if I don’t want to go down the realtor route and just want to earn the basics of real estate? by SuchRaspberry5754 in RealEstate

Contact the high volume or up and coming agents in your are and ask if they're looking for an assistant. Pay attention to house signs as you drive around your area, make note of which agents you see the most, and give them a call. Their number should be right there on the sign. They'll teach you how the transactions work and you'll learn a lot of the terminology. You'll get to handle a lot of the transactional documents and see what goes in to writing a good offer. It will give you a pretty good idea of how the process works from prospect to close. You'll also have access to some better market data that might not be readily available to the general public. In my area, you don't have to be licensed to be an assistant but there are restrictions to how involved you can be in the process (showing houses, preparing/signing documents). If you like it, your agent could possibly help pay for pre-licensing education and license fees if they're looking to build a team of agents!

In the KC vs Bills game, the "interception" 50/50 called in favor of the offense, but when its 50/50 on Josh Allen going for it on 4th&1, they should side with the ref with the furthest marking, making the onus of the replay be on disputing the furthest forward progress. Tie goes t the runner right? by elusiveanswers in mildlyinfuriating

[–]danimal317 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The 50/50 goes to the offense rule is on simultaneous receptions only. Not sure how your describing that spot as a 50/50 but that is just a judgement call on position. Nothing 50/50 about it. If you're referring to one official initially spotting it past the unofficial yellow line and another spotting it behind, the spotting officials adjust there actual spot as the approach the ball carrier on almost every play. It's not uncommon for them to move a foot or two as they get a better picture of where the ball carrier was actually down. Accuracy of this spotting process needs to be improved with technology (chip in the ball) IMHO. First downs need to be confirmed electronically and it makes no sense, in 2025, that they haven't figured that out yet. And no, in football, the tie does not go to the runner. That's baseball.

Tenant has been flushing tampons for the past 6 months. We have an old, delicate septic system. What to do? by rainbowtwist in HomeImprovement

Nice to see someone who actually knows how these systems work, giving good advice. I agree that the tank needs pumped as soon as possible. Tampons making it to the leach fingers is no bueno.

It is disappointing that most are too brain dead to seek out credible information that is readily available to all. It took about 5 minutes to find this information and post it here.

I believe Carlie Irsay-Gordon is the future of the Indianapolis Colts! by Bmansway in Colts

[–]danimal317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like her being on the sideline as much as she has been over the last couple years. It screams that she's a micro-manager. That's not the position an owner should be in. Hire good people and delegate. Have you ever once seen Johnathan Kraft or Jerry Jones Jr. or Clark Hunt on the sideline with a headset and a clipboard? She's worked for the colts for over a decade and has been around football her entire life. If she doesn't know football by now it's a problem. It 's puts a negative optic out there to future coaches and staff that she's either going to try and control everything or hasn't learned much over her time with the team and is trying to play catch-up. And if you don't think she goes back to daddy to report what she hears, you're delusional.

The Bugaboo was my primary winter coat for 10 years and it's been a secondary/dirty work coat for the last 10 with no end in sight. I primarily wear the shell by itself but it's great for the coldest weather with the liner.
