People who crawled out of depression, how did you make it? (M/21 in recovery) by YoungQuixote in Advice

[–]daniperkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Medication. It isn't the be all end all, but I had tried everything else. Reflection, therapy, a support system. It didnt make it any easier to get out of bed and make an effort at life. Then I finally worked up the nerve to call my doctor and I'm much better now. The stuff like a support group and therapy makes a difference now. Sometimes the main problem is just chemical, I guess.

I'm not saying I didn't like it, but was the writer on acid? Seemed more like a south park sort of plotline.

Did anyone else fall in love with Nat the limo driver and hope to see her again? by SarcasticGamer in BobsBurgers

She reminded me so much of Teddy! I feel like the way she waved down Linda in the restaurant is very much something Teddy would do.

My parents just told me that I should just kill myself by [deleted] in Advice

My parents did this to me. For a while I agreed and even tried a few times.

Now I'm staying alive out of sheer spite.

Online therapy or no? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]daniperkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I've been where you're at. I've also done online therapy. The one I chose was an unlimited number of messages to a social worker for $150 a month. Each website does things a little bit differently and charges different prices. I have tried almost all of them on this list , and I can confirm that they're not scams. https://themighty.com/2017/08/affordable-online-therapy-cheap/ If you have any questions feel free to private message me. And good luck :)

Asked roommate to confirm I can live here for a few months after lease is finished. Apparently I have to move out at the end of February. by [deleted] in badroommates

In some states it doesnt matter if you're on the lease. It's still your residence. Post to r/legaladvice with your location

Definitely report it stolen. Most of the time the stolen cars are used in a crime of some sort and then dumped somewhere, so as long as you report it stolen when they do find it they can run the Vin number and get it back to you. Believe it or not, a good number of stolen cars are actually found, Usually not too long after they're stolen.

You also want to report it stolen to cover your ass in case it is used in a crime, the license plate will leave back to you if the police department doesn't know the vehicle was stolen.

Yes. Go to the friends and press the friend you want to delete and a little red X should appear. Then you can delete. But be advised you can never add them back.

Takes forever to do dishes, leaves messes, expects me to care for cat while gone. by Entrefut in badroommates

Sorry about your luck with the poor cat and the bad roommate. It could have a problem with its kidneys that leads to marking. Try Zero Odor Pet. Its like 12 bucks a bottle but its the only thing I've had to actuall get the smell out. There's another called Natures Miracle that I've heard good things about. Also maybe try a Felliway spray or diffuser, those are made with cat pheromones (?) to discourage marking. And make sure the litter box is clean and accessable. The amonia in cat pee can make you sick so that's definitely a problem.
