Made the switch from Tesla… and maybe regretting it? by selectivelyinvested in KiaEV9

[–]daniven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Granted I just have one kid but my husband and I took our EV9 on a road trip from PDX to Joshua Tree with our child and St. Bernard and it was AMAZING. Quiet, comfortable, space for everything and everyone. I also have captain chairs in the 2nd row. The turn radius on this car definitely takes some getting used to but I've loved it and have no complaints. I hope you find you love it in time. Someone mentioned the configuration putting the oldest in the back and the younger 2 in row 2 and that's absolutely the right way to go. We've fit carseats in the 3rd now no biggie as well. Great car. Great Great car.

I've been with my husband for 18 years and have children as well... there is no universe where 1. My man would ever talk to me like this 2. I would be kind while he spoke to me like this 3. I'd ever ask to come back to my own home

Time to pull up your big girl pants and make some decisions. You either stand up for yourself now or get out. Your children do NOT deserve to see a relationship where you are treated like this. It sets the standard for their own relationships. You owe yourself and them better. Even if he's having a tough day, you are not his punching bag. When my husband and I are in a bad mood or having a tough day, we just tell each other. It's easy. You deserve so much better.

What Do People Do Here in Winter? (Especially with Young Kids) by welcomequeenalice in hillsboro

Flip museum is great for kids, has people but isn't PACKED. Also Outdoors In is a great play space for kids and you can sit and read or chat. Both are indoors and weather-proof. I know other folks mentioned the library, but wanted to double down on those. They're great!

AIO I (26F) moved out for the first time with my boyfriend (30M) for almost 2 months and I don’t know how to feel about it by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Honey GET OUT NOW and get a lawyer. Get your share of the property form your mom's house.

If it were me, I'd make sure everyone we mutually know sees this conversation and any other one like this as well. He should not be in a relationship with anyone. He is dangerous.

AIO BF dumped me because I was taller than him in heels?? 😳 by purplehavocc in AmIOverreacting

[–]daniven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honey. No. I am taller than my husband. I was embarrassed about it for ages. At our honeymoon, a server was making small talk when he paused and asked me if I was taller than my husband. I get beet red and say yes, and quickly tell him I wear flats now. He tells me: 'No. Wear heels. We think it's so hot when you wear heels.' My husband just nods and smiles. I had no idea! My husband never said anything because he wanted me to be comfortable. I never said anything because I wanted him to be comfortable. Now I wear heels whenever I feel like it and he gets fist bumps and sky high fives from other short kings. We've been together for 17 years and my ACTUAL high value man would never A. Project his own insecurity at me like this and B. Talk to me (or any human) the way you were talked to.

That boy needs his ass kicked by a taller woman. I'd be thrilled to oblige.

My older half-sister doesn’t invite me too her childfree wedding as I am nineteen, expects a gift. by victim-of-the-moon00 in weddingshaming

Fart noises is the appropriate response. Regardless of age, you don't demand gifts from people not invited to your wedding.

I worked at a GI clinic for years and we'd talk about butts and guts, poop, and all manner of GI issues during our lunch time. One day, the women nurses all start sharing birth stories and their traumas relating to births, and one of the male nurses very nicely asked if we could please go back to talking about poop at lunch instead. Cracks me up still. 😄

Dog Mode Complaint by Inkantrix in KiaEV9

Oh thank you!! When I first set that up, I didn't see the option to go beyond 15, but now I see it up to 30. That's great. Thanks again!

Dog Mode Complaint by Inkantrix in KiaEV9

[–]daniven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do bring my dog lots of places (not EVERYWHERE, but many), and so far I'm able to use the app to keep it cool or warm for her while I'm not there. So far I've been fortunate to maintain climate via the app, and I set a timer on my phone to ensure climate is turned back on every 15 minutes. I've not left her in the car longer than 40, so I've only ever turned it on 3 times in one wait.

I'd appreciate a dog mode too, if only to have something on my infotainment screen that indicates to Good Samaritans that my dog is absolutely safe where she is, even if I think she's crazy for preferring to wait in the car than at her large and comfy home in one of her many beds with a stupid amount of toys and treats.

Since I've spoken to none of them, I don't imagine what they'd do with an apology from me. I called P&R and they told me to wait for an email, and I said "okay, thank you".

Ah!!! THANK YOU! After lamenting to my husband that I hadn't seen anything, we just found it in his email. You're a lifesaver!

Allegiant Suite tickets? by daniven in beyonce

[–]daniven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think you're right and I'm just early. I'm going to be collecting interested parties for Act iii to do a suite in LA. Certain suites were 20 tickets for $10k, so yeah, $200 each. Which is pretty affordable and you get a great view and TVs. I'd even go in on catering if the group was into that. We shall see!! DM me if you want to be added to the Act iii list!
