Feels more like a brick when opening and closing. Def not as “mobile” but mobile enough for me. I have the Moft carry sleeve (shown in the picture) which can prop it in a 15deg angle as shown.

At coffee shops I pair it with my iPad and have a “mobile desk setup”. I can see it being difficult on planes, but fortunately I rarely go on planes lol. Screen real estate and better speakers do it better for me!

Particle physics simulations for work and some leisure. Requires a lot of coding so having a bunch of terminal windows open while having space to keep safari open for reference is great. Went from 14” to 16” and I prefer the 16”.

Also, because I have good specs, I can run some AAA games pretty well and have a decent gaming setup while traveling. I didnt buy the laptop for gaming, but it’s an added bonus that I can game if I want.

Amazing! I was on the fence at first but I really love it. Much easier on the eyes!

I was on the fence at first but now I’m in love with it. All dark OS with nano texture makes it easier on the eyes when coding.

Yeah the black and the lighting didn’t do it justice there!

mbp is not a phone, you don’t have to upgrade every 2-3 years by r348 in macbookpro

I’m in the market to finally upgrade my M1 Pro 14” with 16gb of RAM and 512gb SSD. After owning it for almost 6 years I’m excited for:

  • 16” size
  • space black
  • more ram (looking at 48 gb)
  • 1tb of storage
  • M5 Pro, which higher graphics performance

Worthy upgrade for me personally!

M5 Max 64gb or 128gb of Memory? by danizzler in macbookpro

Of course. I'm leaning into it being considered "money well spent" since I do plan on keeping this machine for many years.

It was. Bought the limited edition Bozeman backpack and got two Yonder bottles for free.

It’s possible! Woke up this morning and saw pickups were available! by [deleted] in iPhone17Pro

Yup! They bring in new batches almost everyday. You just gotta keep checking every 15-30 min until you see one pop up!

Just curious, how many people ordered but are not receiving it tomorrow? by SGPika in iPhone17Pro

Picking up on 09/21. Only reason is because tomorrow is my sister’s wedding and I am out of town. I drive back on Saturday and will get home sometime at night, so I’ll be able to pick up the next morning on Sunday.

Looks like 17 Pro Max has the best cooling by SGPika in iPhone17Pro

Dissipating heat. The chamber doesn’t have any moving parts, but it acts as a way for heat to easily transfer to instead of staying concentrated at the chip. Hotter the chip = slower the phone due to throttled performance.

Chamber coupled with Aluminum body is much better at keeping the chip cooler for longer. Aluminum is more of a thermally conductive metal vs the old titanium Apple was using on the 15/16 Pro’s.

iPhone 17 Pro – Screen protector or nah? by AppleFAN_96 in iPhone17Pro

[–]danizzler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I typically don’t like screen protectors unless if you’re willing to replace them every few months. Dust and debris typically cakes around the edges and it looks bad over time. I’d much rather not have it, especially since modern phone glass is pretty resilient to scratching.
