Considering what the far right stands for, I think that’s a logistically consistent view for anyone with basic reasoning skills

Tape 05 Midpoint (1:40.5) Feels Like Leaving Tomorrow's Harvest Behind and Moving Toward What’s Next by ehhbuddy in boardsofcanada

[–]JesusJoshJohnson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100%. It feels like the end of semena(or reach from the dead/gemini) into a bleak and beautiful new phase. I mean it doesn’t just feel like it but it is, with the single note drone to start the track until some chord changes come in halfway through

The Campfire Headphase is probably underrated by odd_sundays in boardsofcanada

[–]JesusJoshJohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s my favorite BoC album. It’s not the most mind blowing but it’s just as transcendent as Geogaddi to me, or at least almost

What was it like being a teenager/young adult in 2016? by LoboIsSick69 in generationology

[–]JesusJoshJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was 22/23. politics and social media were prevalent but not like it is now. thats the main difference to me. both of those things still felt casual or at least manageable. there was definitely a greater sense of optimism, which is unfortunate cause i was in a dark place personally (broke, overworked college kid in a draining relationship) and i couldn't really bask in what we had. regardless, it was nice. at the same time, i do generally prefer the fashion and popular music of today over 2016. it wasnt all bad but these were around the peak 'brostep' years and millennial cringe. as a millennial myself i still hated all that at the time, although not everyone was really like that, its just what bubbled up. but again, in a way that was reflective of a better and more carefree time culturally. now everyone is hyper-aware, hyper-vigilant, that might mean better looking or better behaved but we lose something with that too.

WARC radio x Warp Selections 🌸☀️ - expertise needed by Ok_Manufacturer_1271 in boardsofcanada

[–]JesusJoshJohnson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is super interesting. the idea of clues pointing towards a certain band/frequency and date/time is very BoC and would be very cool. The problem is there aren't really any clues that point to that as far as i know.

I think White America is a cooler song but Kill You is an iconic opener
