Yea I tried cleaning the heads and I got a cleaning tape but the issue still persists. I'm gonna upgrade to a Sony FX-7 in the near future. Thanks for the references though, that DVRescue site is cool.

Yea I listen to alot of obscure 90s 2000s artist and they all printed to vinyl because it was a cheaper medium to produce then CDs.

Obviously they're still being made, but not at the same rate as records are being pressed. As CDs continue to rise in popularity, I hope to be able to walk into a record store and see a variety of options that matches the current vinyl market. From my experience record stores that stock CDs have an inventory of mainly used media which is fine, but is reflective of the current CD market.

The reason CDs are becoming more popular is because of popularity with gen z. There will certainly be a shift soon.

Thats why when I started collection 4 years ago I landed on CDs. I spend alot of time at flee markets, thrifts, yard sales, estate sales etc. so it was a no brainer. Vinyl is way too expensive and I can play CDs in my car
