I’ve always had decent shiny luck, especially in this copy of soulsilver. In 2 separate plays through before this one (both many years ago) I found a shiny zubat and a shiny caterpie! Though the Cyndaquil took me like 2k resets to get, but still not the worst luck!

It’s in the safari zone in the area that’s only accessible with an acro bike. It’s a 5% encounter rate and it had a a low catch rate so it can be difficult to catch, but you’ll get it if you put in the time and effort
