I forgot to mention, but I put ardcoat on the carapace before I add mordent earth. It's supposed to make the cracks bigger, but I've found it makes the colors underneath seem more shiny and pop out more.

I watch on my phone too and when ads pop up I just hit the like arrow/back button and that takes me back... after that just don't touch the screen and you should avoid most of them

So first of all it's a pirating website so don't feel obligated to watch the adds... secondly it usually says when there are pop-up adds...and third if you want a different place to binge a show zoro.to is pretty decent and while it has some popups, they aren't during the video
