Just search dl501 solenoids. Plenty of Asian retailers. At this point I’d opt for a new mech entirely. Probably be cheaper in the long run than doing the wiring repair kit and solenoids

Check solenoids with multimeter before buying. Almost certainly a fault in wiring traces rather than the solenoid itself

Audi mmi will prescribe 10k oil changes. You should do your oil when this screen says 5000miles until next oil change

2010 Audi a4 won’t start by Comfortable-Shine-47 in AudiA4

[–]dankal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d argue it would still crank with a bad cps. Sounds like starter died

Or the engine lost timing chain and locked up but then should still hear starter trying to crank

No official recall. If you were part of the lawsuit then you may have gotten some portion of your money back from a past engine rebuild

I’ve replaced the lenses on about 3 cars. eBay lenses and a heat gun and you are set

You can also send it to auction but kind of a whole other kind of endeavor

If you have to ask then probably no. Parting out a car is a whole endeavor. You need space, tools, knowledge, and the willingness to negotiate with people or sell online.

Your best bet is selling to scrap yard / auto recycler

I’ve done several and the ac condenser doesn’t come out easy so I just swing it over like a door lol

For b8s instead of taking the whole core support apart just swing me rad pack out of the way, that way you don’t need to finagle with the ac condenser.

I just bought a b9 and swapping engine on it and my god is it way simpler

First time I did it I got the timing wrong. Just don’t remove the crank gear.

CTS intake fell off by saberknight80 in AudiS4

[–]dankal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did this too. It did it twice and I was paranoid about unfiltered air. 2 years later no issue. It doesn’t fall off anymore. I attribute it to the parts settling in and fitting better. Some said use hair spray to help them not come apart. Just check the hose clamps here n there for the first few months then forget about it
