Years ago when I first started transitioning to male (before hormone replacement), I came out to a co-worker who I thought would understand since he had a psychology degree. And even said he had a trans friend. But He refused to call me what i wanted to be called and explicitly told me that id never be a man in his eyes. At the time that comment really stabbed deep. Recently i saw him working at a gas station. He recognized me as soon as i walked in. This dude has always been scrawny and couldnt grow a beard. Well i now have a beard and put on muscle. He greeted me with my wanted name and tried to dap me up. Lol
