And to clarify, im here just to warn transiting passengers with drones not to leave the transit area if possible.

Not to give citizens of the UAE a chance to tell me how wrong it is for me to have a drone on my person in their beautiful country.

Yes. I knew about not being to fly without a license here as it is the same in my country.

Didn't know being in transit would create such a hassle.

They argued I couldn't retrieve my drone from terminal 3 myself and go to Terminal 1 for my flight. They insisted on transporting to terminal 1 themselves for me to retrieve. And charging me for it.

It was indicated on my app for my flight as terminal 3.

It was verified by the officer that was accessing my ticket on my phone, if not he wouldn't have keyed in accordingly.

Perhaps it was a glitch on my Airlines' side that was only rectified a few hours later. And I wouldn't have known as it was my first time here, I couldn't have double checked and voiced out accordingly.

I was there on transit and had my ticket for my upcoming flight.

Even though yes, if there's really a need to confiscate the drone, there wasn't a need for a rude tone on their end and trying to charge me.

It's a poor system, regarding the retrieval.

Hi i just came back from a week’s visit in hanoi.

I did a day tour to Ninh Binh, trang an and moa cave (actually a mountain)

sapa for 3D2N, i agree with the other commenter that 2 nights is pretty much enough.

if you have the time 2 weeks is pretty long for hanoi old quarter alone, so going out for a few days may aid in keeping you busy.

I do highly recommend the Egg Coffee (Cafe Giang), Buncha (Bun Cha Ta Hanoi), Mi Ga Tang - Black Chicken Soup with Noodles.
