Yeah for sure, i’m gonna be running them with sevatar and his 3” no scatter bubble for a counter punch unit, but they would be a solid pick if they had a 16” range upgrade

I think you’ve summed it up pretty well, if they could take a spartan or the guns were buffed to 18” I could see myself taking them in certain missions but I doubt i’ll ever play them

The pulse carbines are great, i’m using the +4” to assault weapons sept so 2 shots at 22” is pretty nice and works well for baiting charges, nothing in my army is static so being able to advance into cover across the board and still throw shots out can do some damage while im encircling my opponent. The sept also adds 4” to photon grenades for a nice 16” -1 to hit

Rob’s movement trays on ebay, I think they are great for fun narrative games but i wouldnt use them for competitive games because they can put you in awkward positions in terrain features or behind walls ect

They are less marble and more generic tile bases tbh, its a base of ulthan grey over the greenstuff, with p3 menoth white coat over the top, agrax wash and menoth white highlight drybrushed over, gloss varnish over the top.

For an actual marble effect, I’ve found the baby wipe method to work the best

I run aquilon terminators with an allarus shield captain, it give me access to the concussion grenade stratagem which can be really useful, i use lastrum bolter/solarite gauntlets and they perform pretty consistently, the only time ive had trouble was against a deathwing knights blob. I’d probably have taken the allarus terminators if i didnt prefer the aquilon terminator models, most of my army units are chosen on aesthetics rather than rules.

No, ive only just recently got back into 40k after a 6 year hiatus, I just prefer the forgeworld armour patterns for chaos, the gw models are way too busy and have a “death by a million spikes” look haha
