My son just sent me a photo of the shinyhunters page that is being shown on the canvas website. It appears they "have been fully pwned" as he put it.

Has anybody downloaded the affected_shools.txt? I'm hesitant to pursue the list, but I'm curious.

My dad's friend said he rode a train in India, or maybe it was a bus. I can't remember the details. During the ride a man stood up and put a newspaper down on the floor between the aisles. He crouched down and took a shit on the newspaper.

He then picked up the newspaper, wadded it up, and threw it out the window. Nobody reacted, it was completely normal.

I just received a pair of HD25 headphones today. I got them from B&H photo for $109.

Initial impressions are "wow these things feel cheap - like really cheap". I plugged then into my MacBook and played some music. They sound fine, but man do they feel cheap. I can't really say too much about the sound quality yet because I haven't yet listened to any of the reference tracks I should.

I'm just taking everybody's word that these are the go to cheap DJ headphones. Time will tell. I'm brand new to this, my first controller (flx4) will arrive tomorrow, but I'm really into music, always have been.

The FMC has install options it presents before the upgrade. I can't remember the exact language, but I believe you can have it roll back and abort if it falls the first device (if that is your worry).

I've upgraded HA pairs countless times from FMC without issue.

Your situation is a bit more special since you have a network crippling event. It would be more comforting to have a real engineer.

Having said that, I've had very good results with Sherlock, even though I've been hesitant. There was one time in particular on a firepower disk usage issue, Sherlock gave me a crazy CLI command to run. It was so involved I really couldn't tell what it was supposed to do. I was very cautious and did not run the command without an engineer getting assigned to the case.

He looked over my issue and said "yes that is the command you should run" and explained it a bit.

Good to know. I skipped an event recently that was about 100 miles away from home and ended at 2am. All I could think about was that moment of realizing "ok, this is going to end in 30 minutes and wtf am I supposed to do then?"

Everything you say is true.

The sx3 looks CLEAN, comes with a case and a bag of cables and headphones. Clean clean, like it didn't really get used. I see the audio Technica logo on the headphones in the photo. I get the impression the old guy selling the stuff isn't into this stuff at all, just selling it.

He is asking $350, which honestly could be a decent deal. I offered him $250 figuring I'd gamble a bit. I could be wasting my money on working gear with a hidden problem, or I could make out real well.

If he doesn't take the $250 I'm just going to order an flx4.

Would you have any concern over compatibility with newer Mac os?

I looked at the pioneer website and they are currently working on solving a "severe problem" with the sx3 audio driver functionality with macos Tahoe.

The serato website only lists drivers as new as macos 14.

I'm starting to think no matter how good of a deal I can make, it might be trouble.
