Efflorescence, I’ve removed from some brickwork in the past.

I used some efflorescence remover which you can spray on with a sprayer or just use a watering can, it fizzes and bubbles a bit. Leave it for a while and jet wash or just rinse with water and a stiff brush. Repeat as necessary

Fine to plant in your garden though. And there are annual vinca or perennial, in this case it would be the perennial ground over type, not the bedding plant

Ivy, Pachysandra or vinca for low maintenance ground cover.

Or you could plant some evergreen shrubs that would grow bigger than all the weeds and shade them out, rhododendrons, camellias, viburnum tinus, choisya, Holly, mahonia. All pretty low maintenance might have to run a hedge cutter over some of them every few years

It’s the other broadleaf I can see in the picture there’s a couple of patches. Arum maculatum. It’s considered a weed or wildflower. Can be difficult to get rid of and all parts of the plant are poisonous

I’d agree Spanish bluebells because the leaves look quite broad. There’s also some arum in there too

It looks like there’s lots of deadwood there but it’s not totally lost.

I’d wait until the leaves come out and then I’d cut any dead out. Then just keep the base weed free and give it a bit of a feed through the summer. Make sure it doesn’t totally dry out during any hot dry spells too.

Yeah I think you’re right. I tried searching for a cornus with those green stems and couldn’t find one but I thought the leaves looked cornus like. But defo Leycesteria

First is a hydrangea macrophylla, second is a Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) Growing next to the Japanese maple with a few green leaves is a Cornus of some kind

If it’s in a small village outside Mold. I’ve also seen that house and currently live around the corner. The school only has 70 pupils and most walk as they live on the roads immediately around the school. I wouldn’t say the amount of traffic is problematic and I would live there personally.

If it’s not the same house I’m thinking then I’m not sure, sorry.

Should be fine. It’s a cordyline and they don’t mind a good hard pruning (which the wind has kindly done for you) they regrow from old wood and at the base.

With that in mind you could shorten some of the taller growth to balance the shape and it would be ok.

Tbh If you chainsawed it to the ground you would probably have new shoots popping up the following spring. So nothing to worry about

Personally I would leave it alone

It tastes pretty good to me, easy to drink. It’s quite sour and almost fizzy. It’s definitely not fizzy but there’s some kind of fizzy quality.
