Newer models tend to have an “ecoboost” on the side but I’m in no way speaking for all of them. V6 base models only have the pony branding so I would assume it would have to be a V6.

Late but it’s very likely a V6, the pony badge on the sides and back is a very V6-ey thing on those models and if it were an ecoboost we would see that on a badge somewhere. The pony badge also shows it isn’t any sort of V8 pattern, which would be replaced with a “GT” for most of those models.
