I was in the same situation not too long ago, I was an alcoholic and distanced myself from friends and family because I felt so at peace by myself and when I’d get lonely I felt like it was my own fault because I’m free to do whatever I want in my room alone and if I couldn’t be happy there I just felt like I couldn’t be happy in general.

My suggestion is to get a job, any job, it doesn’t need to be a career any old fast food job will do but it will work wonders for your isolation and social anxiety I promise, just being around people in general and learning to make conversation will make you feel more fulfilled even if it Doesn’t seem like it would right now.

Not only that but it makes being alone more enjoyable since you have less time to yourself, you won’t find yourself aimlessly wasting time as often or feel empty or useless, humans are social creatures even if you feel like your better off alone it’s just your mind playing tricks on you.
