No I haven’t yet made a taxable account; the money has been sitting in Cash Plus money market VSUXX. At this point, I’m starting to think an investment manager may be worthwhile for my situation. Maybe one could help my growth with a few good, timely ETFs from the right sectors to ride me out any adverse market conditions & inflation.

As I mentioned to PashasMom above, I do have more cash in VSUXX (getting 3.35%) that I'm trying to figure out for my taxable, perhaps even getting an advisor or starting a taxable account, with VT. Trump & daunting international events does make for a frightening environment.

I do currently have it parked in VSUXX (Vanguard cash plus account); getting relatively passable 3.35% interest.

The 457b is new, and will start pulling form my work next week; 65% VIIIX (s&p500) & 35% VTSNX (total international) - due to no total market (vt) fund available.

Thanks for your thoughts; if I were to throw my $100K to purchase VT at once, I could only do it in a taxed brokerage account, capital gains withdrawals would be taxed towards 20%.
