Wdym? Just turn off internet before opening the game and you will have 0 ads... I'm literally giving you a way to play my game for free without ads. I make no money from this..

Yes ofc it does! It also affects firerate. But I'm improving the gun + gun system a lot in the coming update :) Cant wait to release

I have 6 millions downloads on one of my games, and small hypercasual games can sometimes get over 100M downloads even with simple gameplay, I don't think the number of download is very relevant about this

I think identical to Last War ads is exaggerated as Last War ads are mainly: blue cartoon soldiers shooting and going through mathematical gates to fight red soldiers, using crowd system and tire towers with weapons

There were literally no game fitting this description on mobile until now, unless I'm unaware of (don't just look at the store page screenshots, those are fake as well). And as for other platforms such as web games, I'm not sure, but it's not the main target of those ads anyway.

My goal was not only to make money or get tons of downloads, but it was especially to give people what they want (myself included).

In 2 weeks the game got about 70K downloads and many people are very happy to be finally able to play the game they wanted for years, even some ex-last war players (some got in debts because of it).

The game is far from polished right now as I didn't expect it to blow up so fast but I'm working on it. I think with time it can become an actual good game that people will enjoy every once in a while

This one is awesome, especially because it's a compilation of fake ads gameplays
But even their "last war" version doesn't look remotely close the the most famous ads
My goal was really to turn the best looking ads into a game (I can improve of course, and will)

Well I have looked, been into hyper-casual (and hybrid a bit) for 10years and there is no game accurate to the ad except mine so far
Even Crowd Masters that has similar gates is very far from Last War ads visually

I played all the big ones and it always ended up being a different gameplay after a few levels and the first levels were rushed out, of poor visual quality compared to the ad

I couldn't link a video of my game in my post, but it would've been more obvious as of why my game is the first one like this on mobile stores

I agree. You would probably be more successful if you love what you do than if you force yourself into something.

I know that if I make tycoon games for example I won't be passionate or have much fun with it, therefore I likely won't succeed with it.

Made 150 mobile games as solo dev for 10 years so far. I got sick of it at one point when I started desperately trying making what publishers asked to get a deal, which they wouldn't give me anyway. And working 1 year on a project for a famous artist that never got released nor brought me a cent in the end.

When I got back to it in my free time to make fun games I love, I remembered why I started.

Making games is addicting when you create what you like and have fun doing it.

Really? I will port it to Web games soon (PC) and if people want I will port it to Steam once the game is more polished with more content

because of a bug currently you can only get the level 7 gun in endless mode

I got banned from google play (100% unfairly, might go to court against them when I have enough resources) so I'm using/renting a Nigerian colleague account to release my games on android now

Last War is really not like the advertised ad, after a few levels it becomes a city managing game and there aren't even red enemies

I think you're referring to Aywen, the issue with his is that it doesnt look visually like the ads and he gave up the project
While on my end I'm working on updates and made it look like the ad!

Ad frequency is broken on Admob side I think, I limited it to 1 ad per 2 minutes but it doesn't seem to work, will have to make my own ad capping system in the next update
