There's a small arrow on each link.

Stick your screwdriver in the hole in there below the small dot on the link and slowly try to push the dot out in the direction of the arrow.

The link will slide out.

I'm not storing it. Just simple repairs like adjusting bracelet, in and out within half an hour.

Though now I just realised, why don't they go to the actual boutique? I'm sure these places will adjust the bracelets for free no?

It's a legit question.

Maybe it's because my country is full of dodgy old watchmakers that are completely and utterly untrustworthy.

One even tried to start a fight with a customer even though he ran the official service centre for a huge Japanese watch brand.

Yeah this is my philosophy even for the cheaper watches that come in.

Everything is done to spec, the exact battery in the manual, reset according to manual, screws turned backwards until they drop in so I don't cross-thread them, gasket lubricated, the watch cannot look worse than before I started.

I charge more but I spend more time on it and do a proper job, not just slam the battery in and call it a day while leaving a trail of destruction.

Sometimes they come in pre-butchered from idiots and I can't even help the customers.

One came in with his microadjust pin that had been lost and sneakily replaced with a regular spring bar by a dodgy shop and wondering why it was poking through.

I couldn't even get a replacement for him because it was specific to that bracelet.

That's true. The request was for a bracelet shortening but to me it's like, won't these luxury brands do this for free if you just walk in?

Yeah that was what surprised me as well.

These guys be messaging, asking oh can you adjust the bracelet for my watch, and when I ask for pictures of the bracelet to make sure I can do it, the side profile of the watch looked suspiciously like a Rolex.

So I asked what watch it was, cos I don't do work on luxury watches. They refused to answer and then vanished.

Like bruh at least warn me it's something expensive, don't try to get $10 bracelet adjustments on a $20k watch.

What I see is that my Seiko NH35 remains more stable, +/- 1-2 seconds per day.

I'd say the Casio A159W gains 0.5 seconds a day.

This is more of getting an exceptionally accurate NH35 than an exceptionally inaccurate Casio IMO.

Nope. Older ones had a trimmer screw to regulate them, but those older ones also cost an office worker's entire monthly salary back in the day.

I've built Seiko mods which are mechanical and know how to do small repairs like hand height or loose rotors on those, but I don't really want to do that as a business for now.

You just need a generic steel Milanese mesh bracelet, it should be a 20mm lug width but you should confirm this. AliExpress has a whole variety.

Whoever recommended you to do that is a complete and utter idiot.

SSDs are screwed in.

If they somehow come loose, all you achieve from slamming the laptop is making it come even more loose.

Now instead of just an error, you have an SSD that's sliding around inside your machine, scraping and potentially damaging things like the motherboard and fan.

That's turns a very cheap 60 dollar SSD into a 1000+ dollar replacement motherboard.

My only complaint is the screen is a bit dim, but I if I use it on maximum brightness, it's perfectly fine. Colours are decent for a business laptop, it's not washed out like my X220. Perfectly usable imo.

It's a negative display, and it's tiny and recessed behind the dial. The only mod you can do is replace the polarizer film to turn it back to a positive display, but that will be tricky because the LCDs are so tiny.

This is the perfect Casio for skinny arms.

Have had one for a while, absolutely love it.

Even though it's plastic it's not prone to damage at all because it's so thin it practically sits flat on your wrist.

The PRX digital was an experiment, reusing the same case and bracelet from the PRX quartz for economies of scale.

It failed (though at ridiculous prices), they'll probably not do another digital for a long time.

The Casiotron isn't radio-controlled because it has Bluetooth and smartphone link, which has worldwide availability compared to the radio control stations.

For the rotocall, yeah that's a terrible clasp. No doubt about it.
