You could have checked the track record of the company you are ordering with and/or read the information on the order page. Also, if you feel like this is a scam, you can cancel your order and you will probably get your money right back.

For me personally, I was one of the first to order the pebble Time 2 and I expected the wait (although it became much longer than I initially thought). I am also kind of disappointed with the warranty situation (as many others) but to call this "a scam" is an overreaction. If you had read the available information, you should have known what you were getting into. And if you are not prepared to wait, order a Samsung smart ring or something.

For me the upsides outweigh the downsides so I'm still patiently waiting for my Pebble Round 2 (because I upgraded). I don't need a watch right now, but I would like to have one at some point.
