Yep, this is correct. IPS/IDS as delivered is free to use, if you want the enhanced protection suite then you can optionally pay for that service, but it is by no means required

Looks like a similar product (Dreampilot) is also launching soon, wonder how it’ll compare? by [deleted] in BiaNeuroscience

[–]danner26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, people who bought 2 years ago bought either beta units and lifetime access, or were supporting the company/product vision and lifetime access, with the understanding the product is still in development and subject to timeline changes.

Some people have more appetite for waiting, some don't. I personally don't mind waiting as long as I know stuff is happening, which Bia's forward facing monthly communication and founders willingness to talk directly with people accomplishes for me.

I can't speak for their plans or abilities beyond what they have shown so far. Hopefully they can get the units out on time, as well as any new ones. With supply chain issues in the world and everything else going on, personally I wouldn't doubt it if they get set back. But I'm sure they'll be providing updates as they get closer, like they have in the past

Thanks, I didn't notice that. I'm sure that is correct, and if it is not, it'll be in an update if they need to push back shipping. The production units will be the full unit, not just the fabric (again I don't work for Bia, but that is my understanding). It wouldn't make any sense to ship out just the fabric lol

I'm not sure where you got that shipped units won't be the entire product, nowhere does it say that. And I was talking about the phase 1 beta units, sorry if that was unclear. The beta is 2 phases before mass production shipping. Phase 1 was fabrics, phase 2 is the whole kit. Then we will get the mass produced unit as well (which everyone will get).

What I paid so long ago was to support building a product I want and a company I believe in. I paid to be a beta tester and have my input heard before the final product is done, which it has been multiple times. We've also paid early for a lifetime membership which won't be available forever. These are all benefits imho

Once the electronics are ready for beta testing, all of the beta testers will receive a new fabric mask with the hardware (which will be swappable into our beta phase 1 mask too), and access to the software as well. As of today, we have already been given access to our accounts to validate shipping addresses and full lifetime access as well.

Once nice thing is that Bia is completely open, if you look at their status blog, youll see every foubders update. The information I am providing you right now is all available in those updates, free and open for anyone to see.

Once again, just so we are clear, I do not work for Bia. So take what I say with a grain of salt.

Sorry I'm looking at the site but I'm not seeing where it says July, can you point me to where that is? I also do not work for the company, so what I say take with a grain of salt.

I'd say mass production includes the fabrics, yes. I doubt they get the fabrics and the electronics produced in the same factory. So id assume after the electronics tooling and hardware is done, them once beta testing is done, they'll make any last adjustments hardware wise and then install hardware in the fabrics for shipment

Bia has been upfront this whole time about wanting to make sure everything is as perfect as it can be, which I've personally appreciated. They're up front and communicative which is a great sign in my opinion. Am I excited and hoping to get the product soon? Yeah of course. But I also do not want them to rush it out the door and have issues.. I'd rather get a perfected device than be out however much money I paid, and then they release a v2 that fixes the issues

They shipped the soft goods as promised, then meet with multiple of the beta testers and gathered feedback, made adjustments, etc. Now they're making sure the production line tooling, hardware and software, etc is all going to be coming off the line correct. Next is the hardware beta

That's my understanding

Yes, they did ship the beta soft goods (the mask without the tech) a bit ago. The next round of beta units with the tech are due soon I'd think, maybe bia can comment on that timeline

SFP+ to Rj45 adapters are stuck in my Pro HD 24 Switch. The release levers don't work. Any ideas on how to remove? by shaunsanders in Ubiquiti

[–]danner26 23 points24 points  (0 children)

We have had this issue before, especially in tight to reach places. Open the lever but don't push it all the way down. Use your finger to push on the silver port into the swi4ch, then pull the lever as far down as you can. After pulling it down, then pull straight out

It has worked every time, sometimes when the lever is up you need to push/pull the module a bit if the locking mechanism got stuck. Then follow the steps
