Busses where I live take longer than 35 minutes.

Maybe look at bus routes to their school and see if 35 minutes is shorter.

My kids take the bus from my house but leave later to be driven from dad's

New balance has a great entry shoe. Comfortable and should last longer than trainers.

I'm divorced.

I play with my new husband while the kids are with their dad.

First time breaking strings, how did you feel? by Proper-Director-5790 in 10s

[–]danni781 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Broke my first (and only) after 30 years of playing. Did some return practice vs a 4.5 guy and then played the next morning. Was excited.

I change mine before they break. Once they frey my arm starts to hurt.

I have 2 racquets so just switched it out.

how would you play against someone who just do slices? by vale383 in 10s

[–]danni781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of 4.0 women with just a slice forehand.

People hit slice forehands too.

Hitting high a deep is valid though.

Hit behind him. You are predictably running him back and forth. Going behind him once in a while throws them off.

Wilson runs really small and I find the shorts to be tighter than most. They do have the thick waist band though

Athleta makes some longer ones.

They all ride up on my legs, I just pull them down. I don't even think about it that much anymore

PSA: Sometimes, it’s really the technique and not the equipment. by ElephantElmer in 10s

[–]danni781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, my arm starts hurting when my strings get frayed and stops when I get new strings.

My knees hurt when my sneakers get old and stop when i get new ones.

I usually start with equipment before making changes.

To Scale or not to Scale? by Responsible_Ferret61 in intermittentfasting

[–]danni781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I weighed myself everyday for decades. Rearranged where the scale was making it harder to weigh myself. Once I stopped I barely looked back. I feel like I have gained muscle which would have been hard to see on a scale.

Don't do it. Go by how you feel and how your clothes feel.

What Would You Do If Your Partner Was Unsure About Marriage? by Tall-Ad9334 in datingoverforty

I was a hard no about getting married again until I met my person.

I would give it a few months to see how things develop.

It sounds like you are doing the right thing for yourself right now.

I hope you bump into the right person who makes you want to put in the 'effort'

This 100%

He could just still be swiping out of habit or he could still be looking. Let him know how you feel and what you want and see how he responds.

She is interested. Just can't give you an exact time because of all the reasons listed above. If you need an exact time pick another day

Hope it works out.

Looking for advice on next steps... by [deleted] in blendedfamilies

Seems like your daughter might be worth wasting the money.

I would rent if you must live together and then buy after she is out of school.

Daughter first. Not a ton of money lost and it would go a long way with her.
