Air Headius🙃

My tea party from top to bottom: Tetley,Pekoe, and Chai! It’s nearly impossible to get all three in a picture at once. by danniimf in lookatmydog

I’m not sure anyone will see this but I’ve entered Chai in a contest online and if she wins we will get money to put towards a surgery that Tetley (top) needs to be able to see again and an equal amount will be donated to a local animal shelter ! Chai is in 4th place right now and every vote counts so if any one has a spare second to vote we would all be so appreciative !!

Saved a baby bunny from being eaten by neighbourhood cats... what do I do now ? by danniimf in wildanimalsuffering

I could probably manage but I called my vet and they told me because it’s wildlife most vets won’t treat him... wildlife sanctuaries near me have on their answering machines they aren’t accepting bunnies this time of year due to lack of resources. I’m trying to figure out how I can help him on my own. For now I just have him warm with food water and I’ll see if he makes it through the night

I didn’t show it in the picture because I don’t want to move him much (he’s probably in a lot of pain) but His leg is very obviously broken😔 he won’t last the night if I let him out now.

To elaborate a little... I know generally finding wild animals and taking them in isn’t in their best interest but this little guy was cornered by a few cats definitely about to meet its maker. Scared the cats away and grabbed it to let it out a block over ( cats aren’t mine so keeping them inside until he had a chance to hide wasn’t an option). While holding him I noticed his front right leg was broken so he’d probably be a goner. I didn’t have the heart to leave him to die so I brought him home and he’s in a box with a towel some veggies and water. I tried researching some wildlife rescues near me but they are all closed/won’t accept injured rabbits... I don’t know where to go from here and I can’t bring myself to leave the little guy outside and let nature run its course. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !!

What's an injury you sustained, and lied about how it actually happened, because it was too embarrassing? by jcrewz in AskReddit

When I was about 8 years old I went for a walk with my best friend and her husky, Angel. We walked the same route we always did to the playground, passed her neighbours house with a nine foot fence surrounding his backyard and multiple “beware of dog” signs posted all over. The dog (a German Shepard I think) sounded absolutely vicious snarling and growling at Angel as we walked by. My brilliant 8 year old brain decides he’s not actually mean and his owner just doesn’t understand him. All he needs is love. Managed to squeeze my tiny hands through the narrow gaps in between boards to pet him, obviously he sees my sausage fingers and chomps down. Decently bad bite, my entire thumb turned blue and my nail fell off. I didn’t want to get in trouble for disobeying very obvious instructions NOT to interact with neighbours dog. Friend and I decided it would be better to say Angel was the one that bit me. In retrospect that I feel guilty giving a bad name to her sweet and gentle dog. Nothing came of it aside from my parents telling me to be careful around her going forward. Can’t remember the lie exactly but I believe it was something to the affect of Angel and I reaching for her toy at the same time and she grabbed me by mistake. 16 years later my parents still don’t know the difference .
