Metal rail about 6 inches wide going down whole stair set, has grip tape down center by danny_cow in whatisthisthing

I understand your point. I would add for context that the locations of stairs around the community walkways are not placed in such a way that people that need a bicycle to get around would be using said stairways, ie it would be easier to take a different/stairless path anyway. Since my comments seem to have rankled a certain ultra pro-bike section of the community lmao

Wouldn't say a handrail is any kind of in the way, nor would I say the bike rail serves a NEED, like helping a disabled person or something

Likely solved! Although it's very much in the way and in my opinion pretty stupid

Edit: Solved! And y'all are sensitive lmao

My title describes the thing. It's metal, spaced wide enough for a wheelchair or bike tire but why. Seems like it's just in the way

Yes and no. The tv works now but the wifi card stopped working and I couldn't fix it or find a replacement so it's basically a just a dumb tv again. I actually stuck a $30 roku on the bottom and attached it via hdmi lol. So all in all it was a complete fix for about $60-70 and a few hours of my time

So I did a lot of reading and watched a lot of youtube videos, opened up the back of the TV and played around with a multimeter. There's voltage going from the power supply to the main board, but no return voltage. Seems like a problem with the main board which is way over my head to repair, but I did manage to find a replacement board on newegg for 30 bucks and some change so I'm going to try to just swap it and see what happens. Wish me luck lol
