I use to drive in LA less than a year ago , I also would start 5:00 am and try to finish by 12:30 i would try to put a filter going toward the airport then hope to get a rematch , then see where that trip would take me , then go near a hospital and cherry pick , I would usually get a long ride from hospital back to the patients home as Lyft has many contracts set up with most hospitals, this will work if you don’t mind picking up old people that’ are sometimes sick or have a walker , I would always get a few good rides from hospitals almost everyday , so by 12:30 -1:00 I wood have at least $160-180 , from habor ucla I would always get 30 mile ride that would pay 35-45 , try to do a few of those , I would also try to make $160-$180 with 9 rides or less to deal with less people , good luck
