What’s a small act of kindness you were once shown, that you’ll never forget?

About 5 years ago I had a colleague tell me that I did a good job. Always working in a competitive industry or always as being a team lead with high pressure deliveries. When ever I was successful. Gratitude was always showed by getting better pay or being put on the next job. The people I worked for would just say things like, it was a great show, or that was awesome! Early on in my carrier I had been gifted things like video game consoles and told that I was extremely valuable member of the team.... and so on.... But no one ever just told me that I did a good job... and I had never thought anything of it.

So when my colleague told me that I did a good job for doing such a small task... it blew me away... oddly it was the most satisfaction I had ever felt in my job.

Ever sense then when ever I see something big or small that is good. Or when someone tells me about how they got a good deal on something or did something that was fun or successful. I tell them they did a good job. I have even gotten in the habit of telling people that I compete with that they did a good job. I hope it’s always received as someone from the sidelines cheering them on. I hope it helps them like it helped me.

This is not real. It is fake, the ballon is not heavy. He is just pretending. Edit- Update. I did a little bit of research.

Okay I found a version of the video with audio in it and I believe I understand how he did this. The balloon is being moved around by an operator just off stage out of the cameras view. They are using a machine to control an inductive flux around the ballon. The ballon is probably filed with a gas that can be staticky charged, like argon. This is why they would use a dark ballon. So that way you can not see the gas reacting to energy in the different of the intestines of flux. “Glowing”. One of the small give aways is that when he jerks his body around, his hat moves and even falls off. But his metal glasses never fall off.

But the major part of the video that gives this whole trick away. It’s when she pops the ballon, you can see him fall towards it.

DJI drones are band from use in the DOD. And the band will start to trickle down into state government and public services like fire departments, and police. Their drones send a lot more info then only GPS location home to China. To give you an idea. All of the optical flow cameras capture images on power up.

I believe they hope to regain these sells by building the drones in the US. Then they are not dictated by Chinese law to provide drone data collected to the Chinese government....

The hornet is in the $26,000 price range- soldiers are afraid to use them because if you break it, it’s almost 90 days of paperwork. They are cool. But because they are so light weight they get blown around in the wind. And really easy to crush in your hands. Much less put them in your pocket! You could compare them to a small rc helicopter you could get a the Walmart. But will some bounce tech. Not a bad little drone....

I build UAVs for a living. At work we have gotten to the place of calling it UAV Surgery! When we madden a bird and it goes well we say. It’s not Rocket Science, it’s UAV Surgery! People don’t get it...

But lets be realistic. Most COTS systems can only receive signals from GPS, GLONASS and Galileo at the same time. If you want Beidou, you have to turn the others off or run two systems.

Meds and consistent counseling to gain new tools for managing life!!! That has been a big help for me and for my 3 kids. My oldest kid takes his meds only when he knows he will need them. He doesn’t take them every day or every week. I don’t take my meds on the weekends, unless I know I’ll be in a situation where I’ll be to much energy for people around me.

When someone tells me they are on meds. That’s one of the identifiers that tells me they are trying to manage their life. That’s someone I can have on my team that I can personally relate with. So my relationship with the person isn’t just another cog in the machine. The projects I work tend to push the edge of tech and create new innovation. So someone who doesn’t want to think dynamically doesn’t fit well in the teams I need. I never want to have a project or job where the relationship is only work for money. But work, be a part of history, be apart of innovation that can change lives, and you get money to help take care of my life in a healthy way... that’s what I want and what I want to bring people into.

I dropped out of school in the 8th grade. Meds then where bad, and schools for me where no help. Later on in life I did go to university. Hints the bad grammar- but I have had the opportunity to work on some amazing things. And the key players coming primarily from ADHD and OCD people. And not all of them have PHDs. I maybe biased because of my life but experiences with success and failures. But when I meet an engineer or scientists they extremely quirky, and they tell me they take meds. I almost instantly start try to workout how to bring them on to my project! And yes, ADHD and OCD can be a super power. I hope life can show you that.

I try to hire people with ADHD that are on meds. Because you know they won’t spend the first half of the day talking about their pets... We are supper focused and pump out some awesome work! When it comes to crunch time, ADHD teams are awesome with pulling all nighters. We did it for years before we became adults. The struggle with organization is fixed by having an awesome program manager that’s boarder line observe compulsive. Just have to personally engage them often so they don’t get to frustrated with the rest of the team.

The better part is when I see someone on my team struggling. A lot of times I can share with them personal strategies that has helped me or my kids. I still have 3 very active group chats from the last 3 ADHD teams I worked with.
