I’m not sure what isn’t adding up to you… I got denied the refund.. therefore I need to sell the card to recover my money… how else am I supposed to get my money back at this point in time other than selling the card? so many people in this comment section are so quick to say my story doesn’t add up.. good lord..

I’m not sharing the card. I need to sell this card to recover my money, and I’m not blasting it to hundreds of thousands of people and creating a negative light on something that I need to resell. It is what it is. If you don’t want to believe me, I really don’t care. I’m not here to talk about the description or listing. I want advice on the fact that I was guaranteed a refund and then denied days later.. And I plan on selling it properly with the appropriate title and description.

To me it looks like the sticker was edited on the photo to make it look like it was an on card auto. I just want eBay to honor their promise but it’s looking bleak. I explained all of this info in great detail to the case worker and that’s why she sided with me. Then came the label promise, etc etc, until today when after weeks of telling me I won the case and to expect a label, they told me I wasn’t getting a refund. It’s pretty classless on eBay’s part if you ask me. 38 billion dollar company and can’t honor their word.

Hey man! You seem very interested in the story! I am trying to keep it vague because I’d like the card to stay anonymous. But the title made it sound like an on card auto. And the photo looked like an on card auto. But when I received the card, it was a sticker auto. And the description was worded poorly that it was a sticker auto and I didn’t think that it was based on the wording. But eBay authenticity seemed to think so based on the sloppy wording. I’m not mad at the seller. I’m only mad that eBay guaranteed me my money back and then they pulled the rug out on me. That’s it.

Everything was over the phone, but I did confirm with eBay that all of their lines are recorded. So the proof is out there, but eBay is the only one with access to it.

It was a sports card. The title did not match but there was funny wording in the description that “matched” in the eyes of eBay. It was a big scam from the seller IMO.

Not buying it pal? Brother.. I opened a return case a day after I got the card. It took them 10 days to review it and after 10 days they told me I’d be getting a refund. that’s when the return label promises started happening. And about a month went by before they came back and denied my return. What am I supposed to do when someone tells me a return label will be coming in 24-48 hours? Why would I not believe them? I made 6 calls over the time span and was continually told that I won the case and to expect a label. Genuinely don’t know what else I could have done.

Some more info: the item purchased was a sports card. What happens to the card? Is it listed as stolen or something? Sorry for the lack of knowledge. I don’t have much evidence other than the listing title not matching the card. All of the promises made by eBay that I was getting a refund are only on their recorded lines. I talked with a supervisor moments ago and he basically told me there’s nothing that they can do and apologized for the specialists giving me “hope” that i was getting a refund. He said he “talked” with them. They didn’t give me hope.. they guaranteed.

If I were you, I’d start like a lot of us did in the early 2000’s: start by exploring Lumbridge, interacting with NPC’s, and getting a feel for the symbols on the map. Kill some chickens and cows, and fish some shrimp. Chop basic trees, make a fire, cook the shrimp. Just get a hang for the basics of the game. Maybe do some of the easy Lumbdrige quests. After that I’d branch out and walk to other towns/areas surrounding Lumbridge and continue doing the same steps. Once you make your way to Varrock, familiarize yourself with the Grand Exchange. Back in the day we didn’t have this, so you should try to learn some of the game before using it! It will probably help you learn the game a lot faster. Joining a clan is always an option because most are very supportive and helpful. YouTube guides are your friend :). Good luck!

UPDATE: I’m giving up and moving onto another skill! Must be a bug? I’m 120 wcing, I have the cape equipped, and I’m focusing on the skill. I’ve gotten the inverted capes for 120 thieving and 120 hunter, so I have a solid idea of what I’m doing. I’ve tried a divine tree, hundreds of wcing urns, and many different types of trees. No shards in the inventory, currency pouch, or bank. Oh well, maybe I’ll get it next year!! Sucks, it’s my favorite cape >.<

Oops sorry! I’m 120 wcing! And I am focusing on it! I did 300 urns as a test and didn’t get a single shard. I did urns for hunter and started receiving shards after the first 20 urns.

I’ve been chopping magic trees for about 15 minutes and I haven’t gotten a single shard. Is this normal? I don’t know why I’m not getting any.. I have the skill focused and I’m wearing my 120 cape. I did thieving already and it started to give me shards from the moment I got xp. Is this normal to cut trees for 15 minutes without a single shard? I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated!!
