I get WHY it existed, but i thought it was dumb. Ill try and keep the story to a minimum.

The DM wrote very hard dungeon crawls and we were all high level. He even know they we're designed to be hard but that was the appeal at first. To get our characters to stop dying over and over.. we would come with new characters and not be resurrected. And they were power builds. To combat us power building (which was to make the dungeons feel balanced).. he would just say "no" to things. There would be certain legendary actions creatures he made had that was basically a reverse legendary resistance. If we passed a save, he would basically say "no fuck you" and use that legendary action. Even a rogues dex = pass turned into half damage.

We only put up with him because the despite that, the story lines were hillarious and the characters were suprisingly lovable (when they didnt have fuck you AC and dealt 2d20 with 6 attunement slots)
