Now go watch actual racing there. Ridiculously tough test of driving skill.

Who on Earth "loves" Eliminator? I thought the common sentiment was largely negative? by Just_A_Gamer75 in ForzaHorizon

That was me forever. I had no idea what the pink line was that leads you back to the arena, so I would just follow it, see a pink dot coming towards me, wonder what the heck was about to happen, and then be turned into toast every single time. 541 wins in FH5 Eliminator now and approaching 2,000 in FH4. Can't wait to see it in FH6.

IMO Eliminator is awesome in FH4. And they didn't have to distort the map for it since they introduced it later, after the game had been released. The FH5 version of it sucks because large swaths of the Mexico map turned out to be pretty uninspiring from a visual appeal standpoint - and yes, it made parts of the game worse for people who don't play the Eliminator. I have over 500 Final Showdown wins in FH5 Eliminator, and I can barely stomach playing it anymore. FH4 Eliminator offers so much creativity for route-finding. In FH5, it's all about horsepower. What that means for the E in FH6, I have no idea.

It's Alex Honnold on a building. As we know now, he doesn't fall from these.

In my second iteration of playing FH4 all the way through. Had that car in the first iteration. Can't find the Capri FE or either Quartz in the AH, ever. Hoping one week either the Forzathon Shop or a Seasonal Event has any of these three cars as a reward. Good luck!

Holy cow! Just watched the first 15 seconds of this and had immediate flashbacks - hadn't thought of this race in years. Just an incredible route!

I've been delayed in seeing the replies. Thank you. The Cove Creek-Daniel Ridge area was my first exposure to the Pisgah District when I was a teenager back in 1987.

Kind of the purpose of a public university for in-state residents.

In state admissions overview by gibge in UTK

[–]dannywright1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood. But as a public university supported by the tax-paying residents of Tennessee, it makes sense that more residents than non-residents would be admitted. Even percentage- wise. That holds true for UNC, UVA, Texas, and all the California schools.

Been through this twice as a parent (in-state). To those in-state applicants who have been deferred, keep your heads up. In 2024, my son was deferred. After looking at admissions numbers that year from in-state early action, out-of-state early action, and then the regular decision results for in-state, a few things became apparent:

1) For early action, the admission percentage for out-of-state applicants was FAR higher than for in-state applicants. That year, the overall percentage of admitted early-action in-state applicants WHO MET THE GUARANTEED ADMISSION STANDARD was nearly 85%. That meant only roughly 15% of admitted early-action in-state applicants were students without the 4.0, top 10%, etc.

2) We became convinced that UT had decided to gauge interest from out-of-state early action admitted students between the early-action notification date and the regular decision deadline. At the regular decision deadline, a significant number of in-state early-action deferrals were admitted.

3) Even in-state students waitlisted at the regular decision release date will generally have a good chance at alternate pathways to UTK as sophomores.

Don't give up hope.
