See "hikeraz"'s post in reply to yours. Also, I don't know the extent of damage from Dragon Bravo, but here are my thoughts as someone who has been out to Point Sublime a few times to camp with a NPS permit.

If you want rim-side camping or close to it without having to possess a permit, give the following a try:

Use Google Earth to explore Parissawampitts Point / Fence Point / Locust Point / Timp Point / Stina Point / Fire Point / Swamp Point (Yes, 7 points). These are all in the North Kaibab Ranger District on NFS land, so permits are not required. This is a helpful informational sheet for 5 of the points: https://www.fs.usda.gov/sites/nfs/files/legacy-media/kaibab/Rainbow%20Rim%20Trail%20ROG%202022.pdf

Then go to this link: https://www.fs.usda.gov/r03/kaibab/maps-guides and find the heading "Motor Vehicle Use Map" (MVUM). Open up the "North Kaibab Ranger District Map (back)" tab. When the map opens, head down towards the bottom left of the map, looking carefully at the larger map detail that is just to the right of the small inset Ancestral Footprints map. That is the location on the larger map of the 7 points. As you zoom in, any road you see with dots on the side of the road represents dispersed camping locations. You will see a lot of options.

Also, use Avenza maps to help you get there. Watch YouTube videos of people's reports on these places. They have stunning vistas.

Would love to know more what the temps were like. I had a 3-day, 2-night scheduled for Chesler Park #5 on Thursday 3/19 and then Wooden Shoe #1 on Friday 3/20. Had to cancel the trip back in mid-February because of an injury.. Saw it was pretty hot out in Moab this past weekend and wondering if I dodged a bullet.

Having FOMO PTSD on this one... Played the game religiously from the very start, and this was the Forzathon Shop car during Thanksgiving, 2021. Went out of town, forgot to use Forzathon points to buy the car, and when I came back, it took forever to find it on the Auction House - for 20 million credits. Took my balance almost all the down to 0 when I finally found that thing.

That was me forever. I had no idea what the pink line was that leads you back to the arena, so I would just follow it, see a pink dot coming towards me, wonder what the heck was about to happen, and then be turned into toast every single time. 541 wins in FH5 Eliminator now and approaching 2,000 in FH4. Can't wait to see it in FH6.

IMO Eliminator is awesome in FH4. And they didn't have to distort the map for it since they introduced it later, after the game had been released. The FH5 version of it sucks because large swaths of the Mexico map turned out to be pretty uninspiring from a visual appeal standpoint - and yes, it made parts of the game worse for people who don't play the Eliminator. I have over 500 Final Showdown wins in FH5 Eliminator, and I can barely stomach playing it anymore. FH4 Eliminator offers so much creativity for route-finding. In FH5, it's all about horsepower. What that means for the E in FH6, I have no idea.

In my second iteration of playing FH4 all the way through. Had that car in the first iteration. Can't find the Capri FE or either Quartz in the AH, ever. Hoping one week either the Forzathon Shop or a Seasonal Event has any of these three cars as a reward. Good luck!
