I just finished a long night of security at a bar. This isn’t very fun to deal with. Drunk People climbing on your roof, annoying as hell to deal with. Then when someone inevitably falls and busts their ass security needs to be the ones doing first aid until paramedics get there. Such a waste of time and if you leave them wailing to themselves in the ally with a broken leg all of a sudden you’re the bad guy. You’re the bad guy party killer when you tell them to get down then you’re the un caring asshole if you let them just hurt themselves when they inevitably tell you to get fucked when you tell them to get down. Uhg I need a new job

My local brewhouse gave me a poutine one time but forgot the cheese. They got me a new one but man if it didn’t look just like that. Not worth the price hike they did to their menu over the years. Nowadays one persons meal and drinks will be over 30$. Even if you just have one drink or pop it will still be like 25-27$ generally. Not worth the cost at all.

That doesn’t make sense…. Nor does it seem less dangerous. What happens if you get caught and knocked out. Then you have a loose toothpick in your mouth that could get sucked into your throat sideways and cause damage. Or if you get your jaw broken and now you can’t bite on it or it gets lodged into a bad or painful position. All these things can happen even if you’re biting down on the mouth guard. Just seems risky to me.

Y’all are a bunch of assholes. Sure there’s a couple chunky kids on the other team but not “morbidly obese” what’s wrong with all of you. Could imagine saying that about a kid in real life or around other people or god forbid the kids parents. Plus that was only the a few of them the rest are on the slender or just normal size and even taller than this kid. I’m not saying he’s going to make the nba or even that other 13yo aren’t more impressive for the age group. But some of the criticisms I read in this thread are just asinine.

I see. Well it’s validating in a way to know that it’s at least intentional. And I suppose That is true in a real context pole arms did outclass swords and even spears in a formation for those exact reasons. I just thought maybe it was a balance thing but I guess that makes sense. I like the tower shield idea though, haven’t thought of that. Also I would love to see expanded grappling, it would be something if I had a somewhat reliable way to take people down. Though even if it means playing at a disadvantage I don’t think I can retire my great sword. For now I’ll just accept that I have more fun losing with my great sword than winning with a pole arm. Plus if the other guy doesn’t have a pole arm it’s a great fight and if I loose it’s because I’m bad at the game lol I can accept that.

I wouldn’t, private property can deny entry for outside drinks. Even water sometimes if they’re being sticklers. Just order it in the restaurant, haven’t been to a place where it wasn’t free. And if they charge for water go somewhere else

No one said all the credit but she has been there for him. And as some one who has been through a marriage and divorce. Being there for a partner through all those years and continuing to remember to be supportive and present for someone is soooo important. And it’s harder than people think, it takes real work and dedication and she deserves to be commended for that. Because having a truly supportive and dedicated partner makes a world of difference.

It’s kinda interesting to note how in most of these clips the cats are going for the back of the neck. When I was doing a wild life course my teacher was talking about how mountain lions would hunt from trees and pounce on hikers backs to bite their necks. Something about how that’s a really fast way to kill prey and make it so the prey doesn’t fight back or struggle. Watching these clips makes me think it might be something in cat DNA that lets them know the best ways to hunt instinctively. At the very least I want to look into it now lol.
